My office went a bit hard on the yellow on the hallways of the basement. We complained enough they repainted it a much more toned down yellow.

I’m not sure of his physical strength, but
@hankgreen
has oodles of confidence and ambition. He runs a bunch of companies, is a best-selling author, is very smart/interesting, and definitely wholesome.
Reminder: Men and women can be friendly with each other on Twitter and just be friends. Not all banter is a relationship in the making. Friendship is great. Friendship is enough.

It’s like complaining about guidance from a meteorologist. “Yesterday she told me to prepare for high winds, today she wants me to dress for rain. Make up your mind.” How can people not realize we’re in an ever-changing situation. Adapt to the pandemic like you do the weather.
@saletan
@NickKristof
“They brainwash you through fear.” Dude, is so close yet so far. No self-awareness of how integral fear mongering is to the Republican platform.
Anyone else carry a book around the house, with every intention of reading it, but never do? I just keep moving it back and forth from my bed to my desk for days on end.

Also, if it is just food or other stuff you’re looking planning on purchasing and immediately donating, consider just donating cash to the organization instead. Food banks can often get bulk discounts so they can buy more food per dollar than you can individually.
COVID is absolutely ripping through my province right now; we currently have some of the highest rates in North America. So I’m not heading to church this Easter morning. But He is still risen.
@hankgreen
there is a 1/3 chance this is a placebo and not the COVAC-001 trial vaccine, but I’m hoping the mask, pin, and fanny pack make up for that in earning a RT. The health professional who took the photo is a nerdfighter who recognized Pizza John.
Chemotherapy is toxic. It destroys the body. We use this terrible tool because it saves lives. Nobody takes chemo just for fun. When facing cancer, choosing chemo will save their life. People deserve our love & support for their situation...not shame for their choice.
One thing I really appreciated about Twitter is how quickly I would get big news. I've seen very little about the earthquake in Turkey on Twitter. I'm not sure if this is due to algorithm changes since the buyout or not, but it feels significant.

As a single guy with no kids I think indoor playgrounds at libraries seems like a reasonable idea. Libraries have always been about more than just books, and I like that they've expanded in the ways they support communities.
I don't care if it makes me sound old. I get quite impressed with myself when I pour the exact amount of pills in my hand that I need to fill my pill organizer for the week.
If a husband/father/pastor/dirtbag has 83 followers, a blue check, & a pre-order for a book DO NOT ENGAGE with his ridiculous, rage-baiting nonsense. Maybe he did actually take away all the clocks from his wife, but more likely he is trying to build a following & you’re helping.
Alright Canadian friends, I just learned that our neighbours to the south are missing out on Bulk Barn. Let’s start a thread of other fun things they’re missing out on. I’ll start is off: bagged milk.
I survived the night and actually slept pretty well despite not having power for my CPAP machine. There are still 402K customers out of power, down from a peak of 415K. Could be late tomorrow night before I get power back.
Don’t buy a lightsaber. Don’t buy a lightsaber. Don’t buy a lightsaber. Don’t buy a lightsaber. Don’t buy a lightsaber. Don’t buy a lightsaber. Don’t buy a lightsaber. Don’t buy a lightsaber. Don’t buy a lightsaber. Don’t buy a lightsaber. Don’t buy a lightsaber.

I can see why people would mock this if they have no understanding that the average man is usually the basis for design decisions. This can subject women to inconvenience, and all the way up to a greater chance of injury/death. Designing for women is a good thing!
Rep. Rosa DeLauro praises Pete Buttigieg for the development of “female crash test dummies.”
"This will start to fight the gender inequity among vehicle safety and crash victims."
We are not a serious nation.

Every generation had a better financial outlook than their parents…until millennials. You can pick and choose examples that run counter, but the stats across the population are that millennials got screwed.
As a lifelong single, Valentine's Day doesn't often look as I hoped it would. I've had periods of being cynical about it, but I've come to celebrate romance in the lives of my friends & celebrate the non-romantic love in my life. Thanks to the WCT community for the fun day! ❤️
My sister recently drove through the US and was going to be stopping at Target. I asked her to grab me some of the Pop-tarts flavours that we don't get up here in Canada.
@emilykmay
When I was a baby my mom warned a babysitter not to let me see the food being prepared until she was ready to give it to me. She didn’t listen and I wailed on the tray of my high chair with my tiny fists the entire time she made those pb&j sandwiches. 😂
Happy Valentine's Day y'all! I know this holiday is a mixed bag & can be difficult for many. I'm going to celebrate love beyond just romance today though. In a throwback to the early school days of filling up boxes on your desk I'm going to be dishing out V-Day cards all day.❤️
Moving furniture when you’re single sucks. Something that would be easy for two people to carry is near impossible alone. But I got this bookshelf upstairs to the office and I’m rewarding myself with boy dinner in bed.
This is a periodic reminder to backup your data. Devices are fragile. You don't want to lose irreplaceable tax forms, thesis paper, photos of your baby, etc. You should have data in 3 places; one of which is remote. If you have tech questions feel free to ask.
That feeling when you want to tag a twitter friend in something but you're not quite sure if you're close enough for them to find it funny or just slightly inappropriate. 😂
I almost always take the day off for my birthday. No big plans this year; I’m still not up for a big party with the state of COVID. So I decided I’d get in to donate blood since I was free this morning.
I've never sent Christmas cards/letters. It felt like a family thing, less a thing for singles, particularly single men. I'm going to change that this year. So feel free to DM me your address to receive one. No need to reciprocate, but if you want to send me one I'd love it.
@heatherdino09
LeVar Burton was in Star Trek: First Contact with James Cromwell, who was in Beyond all Boundaries with Kevin Bacon. I’ve interacted with a few people with a Bacon number of 2: Michelle Forbes, Kandyse McClure, Morena Baccarin, Jewel Staite, Mitch Peleggi, Wes Chatham, Billy Boyd
Given recent discourse I just wanted to say that I've been blessed to have friendships with many wonderful women. I've hung out with plenty of them alone. I've even asked some out & kept being friends when romance wasn't on the table. I don't know why many men struggle with this.
@lindsayfickas
By age 6 I was making microwave scrambled eggs to have while watching cartoons before my parents woke up. Taking care of my own food needs. I surpassed this man by age 6.

I don’t trust anyone who claims to follow Jesus — who told us to love our neighbours, before he laid down his life for us — and then refuses to take a vaccine that will protect themselves and the lives of their neighbours.
I chose not to go see Oppenheimer after Barbie. I went with my Barbie friends for some drinks and dessert. Oreo bubble tea and Oreo Macau pudding. I’m a bit disappointed that I didn’t pull off Barbenheimer, but it’s okay because I am Kenough.
