1) common dome failure
2) propulsive landing on lunar regolith. Good luck

I didn't realize the area above the flap hinge was this exposed. This has to create a pretty big pressure differential, effectively sucking in the already highly compressed plasma through the front of the flap hinge. Basically generating a Venturi effect to suck up the plasma.

F9 - 870 km/h
B10 - 1340 km/h
A suicide burn for a F9 booster would be 1.49Gs, a suicide burn for B10 would've been 3.52Gs...

Looking at the flight plan, it appears the time between hot-staging and booster boostback burn startup has about doubled between IFT-2 and IFT-3. It's gone from about 5 seconds in IFT-2 to 11 seconds in IFT-3.

No chance. Slowing down let's say a 1000kg spacecraft 27 km/s delta V, assuming high ISP ion thrusters, would require about 450 tons of fuel. Needless to say you would not be able to create a spacecraft that could hold 450 tons of fuel with a 1000kg structure.
