A company I worked for repairs stamping presses. We got on in that was 2 stories tall and had been converted from water wheel to steam, to gasoline and finally to electric. Like 150 years old and still in use.

It would force a renewal of US industry. You would expect foreign companies to establish on shore manufacturing locations to get around the tariff. Prices may rise but wages could go up faster if demand for domestic labor increases.
