My gastroenterologist wears an N95 and says that GI issues have increased since Covid began.
If yall donāt believe people are getting more sick, including medical staff, try to schedule an appt with a specialist and tell me when it is. My friend, 38, had a stroke and her neurology appt is May 2026. 2026. My GI appt, I scheduled today, is in November.

The day before I found out I had covid, I was tattooing a client who was immunocompromised (lupus). We both wore N95s and I have hepa filtration in my very small studio. My client did not get covid from me.
No one will ever gaslight me into thinking masks don't work. Because last year my mom brought Covid home and I didn't get it. I masked inside, even in my room with closed door + towel at the bottom. Disinfected everything + tested daily. my mom didn't isolate or mask properly.

When I was a vet tech, the vets/techs were always excited to read the journals/magazines they got in the mail with new studies and information. It blows my mind how many human HCW believe we have all the knowledge we need and there is no reason to stay on top of research.
I can't stop thinking about my nurse telling me it takes on average 17 years for newly published medical findings to make their way into practice. Seventeen. Years.

My possibly controversial covid opinion? If a covid cautious person gets covid, I donāt think anyone should be grilling them and questioning how dedicated they actually were. Questioning if their partner or family is lying to them about masking.
We're seeing people that did everything right still having to crowdfund because they contracted COVID and can't work anymore and most of them are BIPOC who are being exposed daily through their jobs, communal housing, etc.

My partner just tested positive for covid. I donāt have symptoms and so far tested negative, but we were supposed to go camping for a couple days tomorrow. Not anymore. Everything is so difficult. We try so hard to avoid getting infected. I want to *rage* at the world.

I had my gallbladder removed at 25. I was given Tylenol. I was allowed it every 4 hours. I was in agony, and called every 4 hours. The night nurse bitched and grumbled every time. I literally hadnāt touched drugs or smoked once in my life at that point.
