Let me tell you a story about masks: I do maintenance on wigs for a theatre. Last wk, one of our staff came in to work w a mild scratchy throat. They had tested themself for covid as a few days prior they had gone to a concert & a person they went w now had it. Test was neg.

While this person caught it by being in a much larger space for less time w someone who had it, not one of us in our cramped, poorly ventilated, close proximity, full day of work caught it.
What could have been absolutely devastating to the theatre ended up being a non-issue.

The rest of us were now on covid watch. The whole theatre was, really. We tested ourselves for the next 5 days, even though none of us had symptoms. Not one of us caught it. Not one.

They still masked all day. We work in a small space, 4 - 5 ppl in that space w others coming in & out all day. ( It was tech wk so wig fittings, consults, etc ). Next day, they woke up quite sick & tested again. Test came back pos. Called in & didn't come to work.

They do this often. I've seen videos with them yelling "Don't move!" While simultaneously yelling " Get on the ground! " & wanting hands behind head. They also give no time for someone to hear, process, & comply.

~10 wks ago I started a running program. 60 sec runs were hard. Today, I completed my 1st 30 min run, running nearly 4km. I'm fucking proud of myself. Not only for running but for sticking to something for this long.

I went to the ER with a client of mine ( I'm an abortion doula ) who had a miscarriage prior to the abortion. She was heavily bleeding. I am convinced they wouldn't have seen her had I not been there. We sat a few hours in the waiting room as she continued to bleed heavily.

Those numbers are all over 22k. When you get casualties this high, the numbers are nearly impossible to get exact. We don't accurately know how many died in WW2, for ex. Whatever the number is, it is way too high & that's what you should care about.
