The real concern re ‘15 minute cities’ in the UK is that they are likely to be designed by the same (mainly white, male, middle class able bodied) people responsible for designing unjust LTN traffic diversion schemes, prioritising their own needs & wants over everyone else’s’.

Congratulations on the new job @grantshapps . Assume you will order an immediate suspension/review of Boris’ costly NIMBY unjust greenwashing LTNs that do nothing to reduce overall traffic/congestion, mileage driven, carbon emissions, and pollution. #LTNInquiry @SocEnvJustice

@IanDunt How lovely , what is the traffic like on roads around your tranquil idyl? Exactly who decides which residents get bushes and birdsong and which get terrible traffic?

@BBCPanorama @BBCiPlayer @BBCOne @BBCPanorama team were made aware of the social injustices of LTNs and the existence of @SocEnvJustice a group (which is anything but far right) that was set up to highlight them but you chose to ignore them. Pls run a ‘right to reply’ programme to give a more nuanced view. Tx.

@lambeth_council neglecting their flagship LTN #railtonltn . Would @LambethLabour Cllrs @JimDicksLambeth @RezinaChowdhury @clairekholland and MP @helenhayes_ tolerate this mess outside their homes.? Do they really care about public health? @PrivateEyeNews

@KatharineQ @nhscarersltns @andrewellson @JoannaSargent @CarolineRussell @HighburyKeep @CycleIslington @hackney_cycling When I highlighted (to an LTN supporter) the problems key workers and delivery drivers are having navigating their way around Brixton LTNs, he showed no empathy for this group of workers saying that it was a matter for them and their employers to sort out. He works from home.

@hackneycouncil @carowoodley @metecoban92 Looks almost as good as the one on Railton Rd, Brixton.(a few yards from beautiful Brockwell Park) Hackney & Lambeth - so many social issues and yet they choose to spend huge amounts of public money on Boris-approved unjust LTNs & ‘parklets’. I despair.

You might want to check accounts for proLTN activists such as Simon Still who has/is running several accounts simultaneously.

@YemisiAnifowose @HitherGreenLab @fbjunaid @CllrMarkIngleby @RedmondGarvey You & your colleagues were so pleased to get into a car after your hard work you forgot that you pushed LTNs supposedly to reduce car use - shouldn’t you be setting an example and cycling/walking in all circumstances? Or perhaps LTNs are just private roads at taxpayers expense?

Watching @LambethLabour Cllrs (esp @RezinaChowdhury ) deflect and avoid answering questions about the adverse impact of LTNs is just like watching the Tories in HOP dodging responsibility for austerity etc. A sad state of affairs.

@clairekholland @lambeth_council What did yr QC say in court about opening LTNs in emergencies? Traffic chaos today at Coldharbour Lane with 2 x huge water leaks & bridge-end of S’peare N completely blocked by roadworks for your LTN vanity project. @helenhayes_ @JimDicksLambeth

@MLiebreich ALL roads in London are residential, no? The Sat Nav theory used to support NIMBY unjust traffic relocation schemes was debunked a couple of years ago. Keep up. @PaulLomax @SocEnvJustice

Or that LTNs are a blunt instrument which have compounded the misery of the pandemic for so many.

@MicheleRagusa6 Greenwashing unjust LTNs are a Gilligan/Johnson project championed by ‘me, me, me’ NIMBYS and PB chasing cyclists, facilitated by mainly Labour Cllrs, who should know better.
