All I see here is an off duty officer, a colleague, put himself in harms way to protect others. Always on duty! Solid technique and so professional under pressure… I work with heroes!
The shock I got while driving to see a man grab a white boy from his neck off his bicycle and struggling forcefully with him- OMG. Got out to try to stop it/make sure the boy was OK. It was an off duty police officer-he said the boy had a knife & had threatened other kids.

Had a rest day cancelled today to go in on a “personal development day” before I start my set of 6 tomorrow. Did I get any of my admin done? No. Did I staff up the core team instead as they paraded 15 below minimum strength? Yes.

Been restricted for 7 months now for something I didn’t do, no end in sight & a shocking lack of updates from DPS. Who holds them accountable? I’ve honestly had enough. I thought this job would be better but is there any wonder so many officers leave when we get treated like this

Off hours late yet again because of CONNECT, so so annoyed. Why have the MET spent millions on a system that doesn’t work and isn’t fit for purpose? With COPA I would have been home with my family and in bed hours ago, not acceptable

Yesterday I was first on scene to my first “train strike”. Absolutely awful scene, the images will stay with me forever. It’s so sad that we can’t save everyone, always the hardest part of the job! Incredible professionalism by all involved as always though💙

Many things can be said about this, weapon retention, range etc. and also about his oppo and her movement/reaction. What I will say is, non Taser officers get ZERO training on what to do if in the situation she was in. Maybe it’s time we actually look at this🤷🏼♂️

My team today will be losing our most experienced PC, they are retiring after serving in the Met for 30 years, all of which was front line policing, simply incredible💙 he will be sorely missed by our team and is a big loss to the job too!

Had a drink/disqual driver in court yesterday who I remanded for committing these offences TWICE in 4 days. Been disqualified from driving for FIVE (5) years and imprisoned for 14 weeks. A brilliant result if I do say so myself, hopefully he now sees how serious it is!

Had a drink drive court result this week, he blew 108 in custody and has now been banned from driving for 28 months and will have to do unpaid work and pay costs 💪🏼

What an absolutely appalling sentence, let down by the system time and time again!!!😡 I hope my colleagues are ok💙
A male who threw scalding water at officers has pled guilty to assault on an emergency worker x 2 and a racially aggravated public order offence. He was sentenced to 26 weeks imprisonment suspended for 2 years, with £350 and £150 compensation for the officers involved.

Mate I went out on my bike a lot, engaged with MOP’s, learnt the ward and carried out high vis patrols, weapon sweeps, EWMS door knocks, drugs warrants and the list goes on… I felt exactly the same as you at the beginning, after a month it was absolutely fine👍🏻

2/2 for this to happen and even if it did, it would be to decompress after an awful call before you’re sent straight out to the next one. Plus there’s no point in tying up IRV’s to lengthy S’s when you sink half way through the shift most days and then need them free🤷🏼♂️

Have you worked on different teams whilst being a SC? Sounds like you’ve got a problem with specific people. It’s disappointing to see this, I can tell you from first hand experience on a busy response team in the MET, no one on my team does this. We don’t have enough people 1/2

I don’t know it’s kind of the norm from what I’ve seen with colleagues too… we have 2 officers from our own team who stay in and carry on with crimes that get put in the governors pot for extra enquiries/caution +3’s so that helps but even without them I wouldn’t have that many!
