I am a Consultant Anaesthetist. Thankful+++ to have received all 3 Covid vax. Cannot describe the relief I felt when my family and 2 of my best friends who were pregnant (& now have gorgeous babies) were also vaccinated. Vaccines = ⬇️ risk of severe illness & death from Covid.

The DAS ATI guidelines support the use of sedation to ⬇️ patient anxiety & ⬆️ procedural tolerance. We found that remifentanil Ces > 3ng/ml is safe to facilitate ATI:FB, is readily tolerated by patients and rarely necessitate the use of midazolam

The difference between view obtained and the view that enabled tracheal intubation
may be a consequence of malposition of the device. For example, being too close to the glottic opening and not in the vallecula leading to difficulty in passage of the tracheal tube
