Given that the @gmcuk data explorer is updated daily according to their website, when will it include PA and AA data? Surely something they should have introduced at the same time as taking the regulator role?

When experts in anaesthesia set a scope of practice that is felt to be appropriate and safe suddenly the GMC has something to say on a scope of practice. It would be laughable if it wasn’t so serious

@PAULSAU39022947 I’m so sorry to hear that. I don’t think it is an either or situation. We should be improving palliative care but I strongly feel that AD should be an option for those who want that. My grandad certainly did.

@drphilhammond Exactly! As good as palliative care can be, some people want to make their own decisions about when they die - my grandfather who had metastatic lung cancer was denied that choice and it haunted him as he had the slowest and evilest decline
