Those staying at IHOPKC truly believe that changes are being made. It's noble to "believe the best" but what do you do when there is proof nothing has changed? I brought forward my abuse claim in January - as of today HR cannot get a response from those in charge.

I stayed because of my commitment to the students. I stayed to tell parts of my story from the inside. I stayed to prove that nothing has changed. Turns out those staying really don't care. But I leave with integrity which is more than what those who stay have.

Sometimes I wonder... These current IHOPers who are blindly defending the current leadership-what if it was their child, their spouse, their family who was mistreated and then left to sustain further abuse by others who really know nothing but defend their sacred cow anyway?

When you have a position of singer 1/CL - all the other singers look up to you. As the CL - you do give direction, you do make decisions musically and have to steward hearts on set and off. You are not correct -the word leader is there for a reason.

Back in that day you actually could do this. There were no school shootings, no security and it's not all that far fetched to believe she gave him that information. Many of my friends and boyfriend had access to my locker.

We were never told who - it was just announced from the platform to the staff. I really do not believe that anything has changed. I stayed "all in" through the whole process with no response from leadership. HR has no authority and they continue to do what they want.

"we are working to fix what was not good..." That is not true! They are still doing things the same way as they always have. HR does nothing for abuse victims - I know this first hand as I went with my story after completing Matt 18 step 1 and 2. They did nothing!!!

This is some of my closest peeps...breaks my heart.I have heard more times than not, current staffers saying "what happened to them has nothing to do with me and my calling" or "I am doing what the Lord called me to do". But can we do this without 2nd commandment?

I am still on staff - I am very aware of the changes they are communicating. I have also heard first had the motives of the changes and it is not holy or righteous. The men in charge don't know how to do anything else but what they have been taught the last 24 years!

I teach voice at the worship school and have since I landed here. The reality is it all came down to preference and who's pocket you were in. It's really hard for me to cling onto ideas that people were spiritually raised up.

It is clear to me that you are drinking the kool-aid. I am here and on staff. I reported my abuse to HR on Jan 30. Since that time, HR has not even been able to get a response from leadership. There is no training, nothing is getting better - just words and self preservation.

I did what I was supposed to do... Matt 18 and then when that didn't work I contacted the head of HR. We had a sit down meeting where I told the whole story, she took notes and asked questions and said she would be in touch... 🦗🦗

Its all good. I was on this team from the start in the evening section. I was the only one who left another team to join them YET - I was a misfit (per Jason). I was off the team 1 year and 3 months later because of Ezrela.
