Newt Gingrich was a serial adulterer who cheated on his dying wife. His replacement, Denny Hastert, raped a child. So yeah, let's relitigate Bill Clinton's affair rather than focusing on what's happening in 2018. The GOP were spineless hypocrites in the 90's and they still are.

Buttigieg’s use of terms like “social justice warriors” (below) and “virtue signaling” (Chik-fil-A comments) should raise eyebrows on the left. Anyone who’s encountered the alt-Right in the last decade or so has heard those pejoratives. The people who use them are not allies.🤨

@NotCantOrWont @aNateScott @BraxtonWinston He's got a degree from Davidson, which I guarantee you none of the Pants Police could manage. I don't care what the man is wearing, especially in a protest. I care about his ideas and his ideals.

@YAppelbaum Seeing so many people express either loneliness or frustration at feeling “cooped up” with family, I have come around to really appreciating what my “non-ideal” family has shared all these years.

I’m a parent. I want my child to embody the wisdom and generosity of #NathanPhillips , not the small-minded hatred of the boys who tried to bully him. “This is indigenous lands. We’re not supposed to have walls here. We never did.” - Nathan Phillips.

@sahilkapur Hillary supporters didn’t heckle speakers at the ‘08 Convention. They didn’t wear anti-Obama shirts or put tape over their mouths or carry signs covered in internet rumors. There is NO COMPARISON between the way Hillary acted post-primary in ‘08 and Bernie acted in ‘16.

Let’s say Cory Booker had run for President while Mayor of Newark, before his time in the Senate. Would Booker have been fluffed by the press like Buttigieg has been? (Fun fact: Cory Booker was also a Rhodes Scholar, yet I never hear anyone mention that.)

Let's say Ayanna Pressley ran for president instead of Congress, with her sole experience being at-large city councilor in Boston (which can fit six South Bends). Would she have been taken seriously?

@jess_mc @ashleyn1cole Same for bras with wires. That shit belongs in the past with whale-bone corsets. I gave up both heels and underwires years ago and I DO NOT miss them.

@TamaraMarino23 @4everNeverTrump @senjudiciary Not just his law clerks. All the girls he’s coached as well. I know my own experiences affect my judgment, but Kavanaugh’s need to surround himself with girls and young women has a real creeper vibe. I hope I’m wrong.

I REALLY WISH ANDREW YANG WOULD STOP LINKING AUTISM TO SCHOOL SHOOTERS. It is ableist and wrong. Someone with a bigger platform than me needs to call him out and let him know the incredible damage he is doing. #CripTheVote #ActuallyAutistic #StopScapegoatingAutistics

@DudeICalledThat @Unseelie @mattdkerr @jnquincy @jpbrammer They were cheering the “more women in Congress” line, because THEY made that happen, not Trump. They’re celebrating each other as a form of protesting him. AOC’s reaction was appropriate. So were her colleagues’. No need to make this into a competition amongst women.

@rajandelman @katrosenfield @Nicole_Cliffe Yeah. I'm the mom of a trans teen, and fortunately I had many trans perspectives to turn to when my kid began their process of coming out. People like JS are dangerous because they present their bigotry as "reasonable" concern. A polite transphobe is still a transphobe.

@piperewan @sarahkendzior @ChuckWendig Perused, too. People always use it to mean “skim” or “browse,” but it (also?) means “read carefully.” So I never know what someone actually means when they say they “perused” something.

@gavinivester @michellebhasin @globalerica @yashar I am disabled, so what's "convenience driven" for you is "necessity driven" for me. I would ~love~ to have the resources to hand select all my produce, but it's not feasible. Online shopping, delivery, and other "conveniences" like pre-chopped fruit & veg allow me to live better.
