Oh wait. Just realized this wasn’t a fix by @NYC_DOT for the drainage issue, it was a side effect of the new APS signal installed. They’ve been popping up all along Nostrand. Good intention, but not audible at all against the noise of street traffic.

The 2024 repaving left a weak spot by this catch basin on the SE corner of Rogers & Lefferts. Seems it’s now crumbling more. @nyc311 can u file an SR to get this on @NYCWater radar? Cc @nypublicservant @Bklyn_CB9 @eanorv

Hey @dahvnyc @DaveCoIon, PLG parents are starting to organize. Come join tonight for the @StreetsblogNYC scoop! I bet some kids would make for a great quote. 🙂

I appreciate NYPD doing this. @NYPDnews Seems like a good combo of agencies working together in fact.

@emily_lip @dahvnyc Fun to watch. But I was hoping it would have good news at the end. Sadly... I presume NYPD will be parking just as they always have.

@BobaCyclist @bikecitydreams Just horrible that it happens and horrible that so few even bat an eye at it.

@samraskinz I am puzzled that Stringer has such high name recognition considering everyone I know who knows him gives a pretty resounding ‘meh’ at his campaign.

@bikenewyork True. But I think we were always skeptical. None of this now is really surprising I would say.

Flagging for @NYCTSubway. Both Display screen and arrival clock are not working at the Sterling St station, Manhattan bound direction.

@_pjrt @SwiftySanders @samraskinz I agree. I respect his experience and admire many of his policies. I just don’t see him exciting anyone and turning out much vote. He could do the job well but I’m skeptical he could win the election.

@jshgdmn and perhaps it can lead to less NYPD placard abuse, bike lane blocking, and parking on sidewalks too. Still hoping for DSNY BK9 to make some advances on that last one by the way.😀

@Sarah345M @placardabuse @NYPD71Pct @NYPDPC @CMRitaJoseph @Bklyn_CB9 @nypublicservant @StreetsblogNYC Nice to see this become a consistent thing. Thanks DI Smith. This helps keeps illegal and potential dangerous vehicles off the roads & opens up more parking for those who have properly registered their vehicles. Much appreciated.

@NotADebacle @RitaJosephNYC @NYC_DOT @NYCCouncil I agree. We need changes MUCH larger than just school adjacent. But it is often an easier political lift to achieve. And with so many schools in NYC, linking things to school proximity often covers the majority of streets. It's far from perfect, but still good.

@placardabuse @NYPD71Pct @NYPDPC @CMRitaJoseph @Bklyn_CB9 @nypublicservant Big thanks to DI Smith who followed up w/ me again directly and got BOTH these paper plated vehicles off the street AND found two additional ghost tags on the block! I appreciate the swift action & communication. Thx & keep it up please.😀 @placardabuse @StreetsblogNYC
