I should have a name for this law. We can call it Pedro's Law: All anti-housing discourse eventually reveals racism to be the true motive. Same for anti-congestion pricing.
Have you heard about CITY OF YES in NYC? Wondering what politicians are talking about and why they are so eager to fast track it? They will sell it as an age-in-place initiative but when your residential neighborhood has 30 undocumented migrants living in a single family home next door because they have taken up residence in a formerly illegal basement and built backyard sheds as mini homes… Also another step toward eliminating cars. This is a power move, and Adams went right into it. Do we believe the mayor of NYC was just forgotten? No. Trump wanted to know if he was desperate enough to drop everything on MLK Day at 2 am and go kiss his ring. And he did. Congrats Trump, you got the NYC mayor by the balls.
Adams didn’t get a call from Trump’s team until around 2 a.m. Monday informing him Trump had asked he attend his inauguration. Adams, who has voiced openness to accepting a Trump pardon, then got on the road to DC pre-dawn to make the inauguration.

@supremeMilo @bradlander I'm actually surprised it passed at all. As an advocate for it, I barely ever saw him mention it. He left it to the NYC Planning commissioner to do all the work.
