We often debate speed, how fast is too fast? The US Open sets the bar every year. Hit the wrong spot of the green at Pinehurst Number 2 and end up in the waste area 40+ yards away with the hardest shot in golf. Bring on the carnage!

I won’t speak for our entire community, we have folks on both sides of the argument, but personally I like it once a year. Does that mean it’s okay every week? Absolutely not. Everyone should know their lane and stay in it!

One of Tillinghast best under the radar designs, Fenway GC. Beautiful course that appears attackable from the tee, but chews you up on and around the greens if you’re not in the right spot or short game isn’t on point. ⛳️

We made it to Crystal Downs. The experience starts in southern Michigan when you start heading North. You go through small unique town after town along the Lake Michigan shoreline. I'm still trying to figure out how Alister MacKenzie found this land a century ago!

Agree. The top tier clubs with FU Money are pushing greens budgets to heights the industry has never seen before. Mid tier clubs are desperately trying to keep up without being sure why. The mid tier clubs who push resources to the limit will implode first.

Besides having an amazing golf course, Inverness Club prides itself on its almost 300 strong caddy program. Many are local high school and college kids. Some are new to the game but not this crew! Great advice and great reads along with a few laughs from Inverness finest all day!

An unbelievable day at Kittansett Club! It’s all about the wind here, sometimes it only blows above the trees and it can be in any direction. That and the fescue can make for some serious challenge. This made our new game “divorce” more fun. 💨

The top clubs have set the bar pretty high when it comes to maintenance practices these days. Annual greens budgets are in the multi millions. In order to get this level of conditioning, your initiation fees need to go WAY up along with your dues.

Amazing opening tee shot! You can take on as much of the left side as you want which is very deceptive. 3 conservative shots are a fairly easy route home. Get into trouble being aggressive and you’re off to a tough start.
