Our favorite story from 2020.
Meet Goose, a 12-mo. old black lab who as developed an amazing knack.
In the picture above, he can be seen with his haul from last summer — 1,500+ golf balls he found in the fairway adjacent grasses.
Join us in giving Goose a "good boooyyy..."
“I have traveled the world for 30-plus years. I've seen every imaginable golf course site you could think of and many you couldn't think of, and the Sandhills of Nebraska are the best inland ground for golf. Bar none on planet earth that I'm aware of.”

It is spread across almost 1,000 acres.
It has 250,000+ sq ft of putting surface.
It is a 5+ mile loop from 1 tee to 18 green (if you're a straight player).
This is the Dunes.
This photo is taken from the right side of 1 Dunes, looking out over 1 green and 2 tee and fairway.
Beyond the tree in the horizon is golf for acres upon acres, the sun kissing it all. What a way to start a day.
Meet Maverick.
Maybe you've seen Maverick around.
He is the “co-superintendent” of course Dunes alongside his owner, Andrew Getty.
Recently, Maverick earned the honor of cover dog for the

June 11. Sandhills Golf Day.
A day to celebrate our region's flair for providing the world with bountiful and distinct golf.
We are honored to be part of this area's golf allure.
The end of a round of golf on 18 Pines green — strategically nestled between both our lodge and edge of the Snake River canyon rim — provides an excellent crescendo.
