Secular Academia profiling of the Qur’an showing it’s divine origins. Notice he posits a second author of the Quran simply because no man in the Hejaz could have access to the information the Quran does especially not an illiterate man even though it’s in our earliest manuscripts
A lot of the academics behind orientalist scholarship feel clear disdain towards traditional Islam, its values, and beliefs. If you believe this has 0 impact on the scholarship that produces revisionist views on Hadith, general history, etc. then may Allah open your eyes to this.
@PhDniX
This is the traditional islamic view. An islamic *state* can execute apostates. This is actually standard for any theocracy. Where is the issue?
I have been blocked by prominent orientalist Reynolds for asking him why he goes looking for random fatwas to share and mock.
From all his work and posts it’s clear he has an axe to grind against traditional Islam and wants to push it down yet is lauded as an objective academic.
@SabreenSafiyyah
@freemonotheist
He has whole videos on this. He mentions his struggles with sexuality. Having feelings isn’t haram. You have to show he acts on them.
Fluent in 5 languages and is aware of texts that don't seem to be noted in the Hejaz. And this is before the internet, online translators, etc.
It's very easy to lose perspective of how impressive this is.
Further proof these orientalists are a bastion of kufr and extremely bias. What does this Islamic Studies scholar think about the Qur’an which is so clearly anti-Paul? Or all the classical scholars who followed? Will he also call them idiots?
These academics are NOT objective.
I'm sorry, but whenever I read an author who expresses dislike for Paul of Tarsus, I know within ~99% certainty that I'm reading the words of an idiot.
Gabriel vs the Bible. Deut 13 tells us to kill those who try to lead Israel away from God even if your own brother, children, or wife are the ones doing so! Will he condemn the Bible for going against everyone's right to change their religion?
Inspiring Philosophy’s descent into David Wood level polemics is a sad sight but isn’t surprising given his actual objections to Islam and defense of Christianity are equally lacklustre.
According to Muslims:
- They lie and say we are okay with drugs.
- They lie and say we are okay with fornication.
- Being a sex addict is the same as having physical relations with your wife.
They are in full damage control mode. 😂
If miracles are not proof of prophethood then the resurrection can never be used as proof for Christianity hence Christianity must be false.
If miracles are proofs of prophethood then Islam’s superior historical attestation of its miracles renders Christianity false.
Christian missionary dilemma:
P1: Quran is from Satan
P2: Quran tells us to follow the gospels
C: Satan tells us to follow the gospels
@MartialArtMuz
the missionaries who bring the “Islamic dilemma” would get stumped by this one 💀💀💀
Prof Israel Knohl estimated that about 500 persons escaped Egypt, there is no evidence against this amount of people leaving Egypt. The Moses group could have conceivably survived in the Sinai desert if they were this size. Survival of 600,000 as claimed in Numbers 1:45 would

Interesting how
@InspiringPhilos
is responding to a video from years ago when he should know Ali Ataie had a 3 hour interview defending this from a historical perspective. Not sure why he doesn’t just attack that
The Prophet was preaching Jesus to pagans. Presumably they would not be familiar with Christian texts and yet the Qur’an is fine using them to prove it’s point. Possibly a powerful argument against those who assume Makkah had the dozens of texts the Qur’an uses. 1/
It's sad to see how a lot of the subtlety and nuance of the Qur'an's engagement with Jewish and Christian literature is lost due to the simplistic nature of modern online apologetics.
From 'The Qur'an's Reformation of Judaism and Christianity' Pg. 334.
As a Catholic I find Islam compelling but I do not find the Muslim story about Christianity to be compelling at all.
I find Christianity to be luminously true, the light by which I see all of reality.
Not sure what to make of that. More study is needed.
@Farid_0v
I don’t think laymen rejecting things out of ignorance and proclaiming that the great scholars are ‘clearly’ wrong after taking a look at some Hadiths without seeing why said scholars don’t follow them or a specific interpretation of them is what Imam Malik RA had in mind.
@Haqiqatjou
I'm not always a big fan of your critiques but you did amazing. You did exactly what was needed. Instead of appealing to our tradition you went to his sources and refuted it by showing the original audience believed what we believed. May Allah preserve you.
If there is even 1 case of the Qur’an correcting the Bible accurately then Muslims cannot be held accountable for disbelief in Christianity for how could Satan be correcting an omnipotent God’s inspired text? No rational mind can, or should accept this possibility.
The Trinity may be a rather neglected doctrine in the church today, even seen as secondary by many. We need to learn about the importance of the necessary doctrine of the Trinity and evaluate them👉📱
This is the state of modern Catholic apologetics. A well-known apologist does not even know the fundamental claims of those who disagree with him and confidently asserts falsehood. The “telephone game” would be the oral reshaping of the gospel material before it was written.
New Atheists: "The Gospels are a result of a telephone game."
Reality: The Gospels account can be found in letters by direct successors of the Apostles like Ignatius of Antioch, Polycarp, and Clement of Rome.
This 3-part series on the Synoptic Problem will equip beginners, and intermediates with the knowledge to defend the popular view, as well as learning why this is so crucial to learn as a Muslim as this is a case of ijma' of the church being wrong. P1:
Christian critiques of the Islamic heaven are always flawed. As
@jjinjjani
aptly points out:
“the garden is filled with the *entire variety* of rewards
From the sensory to the spiritual(for ex the vision of God) , thus being truly encompassing, the perfect abode.”
After the poll, I decided to release a brief article criticizing Irenaeus' claims to apostolicity using only external evidence. Every internal error compounds this. Article link in bio. Retweet to support. All criticisms accepted.
@SabreenSafiyyah
Hello did you know Aisha RA being 9 is one of the most sure events of the prophet’s biography? It’s even in our earliest extant written sources in urwah’s letters
Academic Islamic studies professors believe that the Quran was written by a committee of scholars in the deserts of Arabia fluent in several languages, including Greek & various Aramaic dialects, with access to the Talmud & the collected works of the early Church fathers.
Focus on the last section where he talks about the Psalms.
@InspiringPhilos
has rendered his scripture the ‘venting’ of a man filled with rage rather than God communicating wisdom to his creation.
If we contrast this with Qur’anic Prophetology it is clear who follows Satan.
Odd that you issued a challenge to me, but didn't tag me. I only found out this morning because someone messaged me.
@Haqiqatjou
The problem is this is confusing descriptions with prescriptions. The Bible describes things that happened in the past, but it doesn't necessarily
Why the Quran isn´t perfect:
- Abrogation
- Burned manuscripts
- Multiple versions
- Scientific errors
Quite shocking how messy the Quran and its historical ''preservation'' is.
If you cannot be happy with halal forms of worship and an Islamic life that does not involve sin then the problem is you. Forcing us to have music, dancing, and free mixing to feel happy is just showing your inability to fully be at peace with the prophetic way. You must change.
Traditional practising Chechen Muslims. Communal joy, music, dance, fun, all merging seamlessly with a traditional Islamic life.
Compare to traditional practising South Asian Muslims, where these things are seen as ‘fahisha’ and misery is seen as an important component of Islam.
@MomodouTaal
You mentioned how you want good scholarly discussion yet you haven't even read this book to critique it. He is a scholar of Islamic History and this book is about blackness in the islamic tradition. Stop embarrassing yourself.
Today's article is a 'novel' argument against the authorship of Mark based off an analysis of the internal features of the gospel. I haven't seen any Muslim use this argument so I'm excited to get it out there and see what you all think. RT/Share please!
How can Javad call apostasy law a later development if he says it was present during Abu Bakr's caliphate 1 year after the prophet died. 🤣
Also why does Javad think we have reliable access to the politics of the ridda wars if islamic sources are just later projections. 😭
@SayyedHusayn
Don’t lie about imam Malik bro. Abu hanifa and his students learnt from, and trasmitted from him, and we have authentic narrations of heavy praise of Abu Hanifa from Malik.
I have a feeling

is secretly pro-palestine. It’s the only logical explanation for why he would bring so many pro-palestine spokesmen to take turns dunking on him and Israel.
Our purpose is to worship God. This is not mechanical repetition of the ritual prayers but instead permeates our entire existence as every action done with the right intention is worship and leads us to love, submission, and devotion to the Creator.
This is why I’m excited for our video. Faulty linguistic analysis of a text that post-dates the Quran is their daleel against us. As Bladel says all parallels come from the Neshana and NOT from previous Alexander literature.
1 Timothy quotes Luke
Luke was written after 70 AD
1 Timothy was written after 70 AD
Paul died 64 AD

I guarantee this Native American would be more in agreement with tawhid as his perception of God than the Trinity which has no rational or scriptural basis…
Funny you ask…
Once upon a time a Christian missionary was witnessing to a Native American medicine man and began to describe the Christian God to the medicine man.
He said: “He is the all powerful and all knowing creator of the Universe and the world. He is one. He holds

while extremely problematic currently, the benefit I received from his oldest lectures back in the early days helped me immensely with my spiritual journey. May Allah guide him. 1/
The biggest problem with church tradition is that we don’t know their sources. It’s literally just “trust me bro” but on a higher scale. At the very least if there is an issue with a specific Islamic tradition we can trace the errors within the chains and move on. They cannot.
You cannot reject Hadiths for so-called Judeo-Christian influence when you understand that the Qur’an itself is seeped with intertextuality and so these Hadiths are simply following the pattern we would expect them to.
The Qur’an assumes corruption of the prophetic stories by altering their contents, hence “al-Furqan”. If it truly did not see the previous scriptures as corrupted it would have repeated the stories rather than retell them with key elements altered. Missionaries need to catch up.
The short Part 3 of 'A Concise Muslim Guide to the Synoptic Problem' is now out! Here, the original language of Matthew is discussed, and the devastating consequences of Markan Priority, and faulty church consensus are elucidated on. RT/share to support:
The Qur’an confirms the Prophet PBUH is unlearned (29:48) and even if one believes he could read and write they would still have to explain how he got the vast intertextual knowledge from or accuse him of lying.
This often gets ignored by those who delve into the topic.
Sean here seems to assume that Muslim academia does not first labor to justify belief in the Prophethood of Muhammad ﷺ before engaging with the Qur'an in the way they do. If he was aware of the classical scholarly approach he would not accuse
@freemonotheist
of fideism.
Ehrman's right ofc, and the axiom isn't "hidden"
The Qur'an is a human text: it's written in a human language and as such ought to be analyzed as a product of humanity.
Ratifying a fideist "special pleading fallacy" as the foundation of your hermeneutic is against free inquiry
@PhDniX
How? There are conditions to it and it serves to minimise Muslims and their faith being attacked. Just look at the most fervent critics of Islam and their disgusting approach and constant insults such as
@ApostateProphet
and the harm they’ve caused
Christians attack the Qur’an for supposedly being against everything associated with the historical Jesus then interpret the Qur’an in a way that gets rid of their issues with Islam and then mock…
According to this guy this is what happened:
Christians AD 32: Apostasy law is good it’s in the bible!
Christian’s AD 33: We follow the new covenant we don’t follow the imperfect old law! (Jesus never mentioned this)
@Damask_Pubs
@PhDniX
They hide their issues with islam by saying its simply '1 interpretation' ignoring that every single school in history has held to this.
I find Islam's focus on the settling of accounts more than satisfactory. To the best of my knowledge this is not something emphasized in the Christian tradition.
An aspect of the problem of evil: that so many humans are indifferent to animal suffering. When in the course of giving a theodicy someone insists that animals don’t matter because they’re “not rational”, or that animal suffering is morally trivial, that’s part of the problem.
Pray for me that I do well in my finals. Once they’re done I’m going to begin uploading all the work that’s been done regarding Pastorals, Peter, Mary, etc.
There are no words to describe how excited I feel to release these.
It amazes me how a lot of Christian orientalists proposing radical revisions of early Islam are able to remain Catholic or Orthodox given their approach. Do they not look at their own faith with the same rigor?
@MikeWingerii
If Jesus is God then we should be able to test his behaviour by the actions of what God commanded in the Old Testament. I’m sure you’re fine with that right? What’s funny is all your defenses for OT behaviour are equally if not more applicable for Muslims!

Muslims and Christians need to familiarise themselves more with the emergence of Jewish-Christianity
@InspiringPhilos
Sadly you are not a Christian. You follow your whims and desires, picking which traditions are reliable, and which aren't. Do you affirm Markan Priority and post-70 AD dating? If so, why was every church father wrong?
@MM_Knight
Yes. For that, and for rejection of the messenger that came to them of course. Can you skip to a non-emotional argument please?
In the end, you will have to contend with God destroying nations whether here or elsewhere. I don't see the point of this line of argumentation.
@JoshuaLWatson
Why is it wrong to ask members of the LGBT to remain celibate for the sake of God? This life is temporary and is incomparable to the next one. If your issue is the trouble they may feel, there is much worse suffering out there which you could criticise
