@cupthought27 @waldenpod Not necessarily, but even God can love the beauty of the mountain without humans being around and God is a necessary being, so I don’t see how the value of the beauty of the mountain is contingent.

@cupthought27 @waldenpod I’m saying the value of the mountain’s beauty would still be recognized by God.

@cupthought27 @waldenpod I don’t thinks so because I believe in God, but the same argument could be made about man. If man did not exist, etc

RT @pissmarck: I still have yet to ever have it fully explained to me how we’re somehow not worshipping Christ with this

@Pseudomastix This isn’t really relevant. I’m talking about what it is to be these things by definition; not whether someone could technically be the thing despite not being them perfectly.

@Darthjimscott41 @gkposte Christ has a human intellect, so insofar as he has a human intellect, humans and Christ can be compared in a univocal way.

@cupthought27 @waldenpod I think something can still be valuable even if one doesn’t see it. A man on his death bed may value the beauty of the mountains even if he knows he will never see them again. The value is more about the mountain’s beauty’s ability to entice us.

@ManyFumo @critical_creed I think God technically worships Himself, but yeah, being a Christian manifests differently. I wouldn’t say angels are non-Christians, but they never repent for their sins.

@Darthjimscott41 But it’s not though because I think Jesus was both a classical Jewish man and a Christian.

@Darthjimscott41 @gkposte Also Christ was a human, so we can speak of his and our beliefs in a univocal way.
