@bonesforsales It refers to the living Christian community. Only the people on the Earth NEED prayer FOR them. It doesn’t discount James 5:16, especially since we KNOW that the righteous continue to pray AFTER their deaths. I look at in the correct context, 2 Maccabees 15:11-16 (Inspired)

@babytoga02 @denise_gil12468 @JennyWakefiel12 The Keys Were Given to St. Peter Alone, Not to All Christians. Jesus speaks directly to St. Peter (singular), not all believers. “I will give you (soi, singular) the keys of the kingdom of heaven.” “Soi” (σοι) is singular, meaning Jesus is speaking directly to St. Peter alone.

@bonesforsales Nice opinion 👍 Praying for intercession also bears testament to God, because God is the one who ultimately grants us Grace. James 5:16

@bonesforsales We don’t worship Mary. According to you, we can pray to her as long as it’s in the form of a song 😭

@babytoga02 @denise_gil12468 @JennyWakefiel12 If you want to be charitable then start with reading the Catechism, because you continue to misunderstand Catholic Doctrine, especially the role of the law, free will and cooperation with Grace. You also keep accusing me of heresy without proof :(

@babytoga02 @denise_gil12468 @JennyWakefiel12 St. Paul is addressing the role of faith in relation to the law, specifically the Mosaic Law. St. Paul is emphasizing that faith does not abolish the law but rather upholds it. This is not suggesting the civil use of the law but rather the theological and moral role of the law.

@babytoga02 @denise_gil12468 @JennyWakefiel12 You are misunderstanding Catholic Doctrine. I don’t know why you do this. I don’t know why you misrepresent it. I don’t know why you get angry at me for showing you that you’re in error. The Law doesn’t save. The Church doesn’t teach that. It condemns it. Understand that.

@babytoga02 @denise_gil12468 @JennyWakefiel12 We are still asked to keep them. He understands that we will fail, and He offers unlimited forgiveness and mercy. Christ is the only means of salvation. He has fulfilled the law so that we might grow in Holiness and become closer to Him.

@babytoga02 @denise_gil12468 @JennyWakefiel12 Who is they? You’re fighting an imaginary opponent by misrepresenting Catholic Doctrine. The Church CONDEMNS Pelagianism. You’re misunderstanding.

@babytoga02 @denise_gil12468 @JennyWakefiel12 Jesus’ response (70×7) means forgiveness should be limitless, just as God’s mercy is.

@babytoga02 @denise_gil12468 @JennyWakefiel12 Jesus Himself said: “If you love me, keep my commandments” (John 14:15). That is the Catholic understanding; not legalism, but love that fulfills the law.
