1/n Last talked to Bob in September - despite his illness he gave a virtual talk at a Summer School I was organizing and also spent 2 hours sharing stories with participating PhD students over ZOOM - just so much kindness.
The Division is saddened to report the passing of Robert Grubbs. The outpouring of memories being shared is a testament to his profound impact and influence as a professor, mentor, colleague & friend -- not only in the chemistry community, but beyond.
He will be greatly missed.
