I see your "the editing on this [Catwoman basketball scene] is truly buckwild" and raise you a "Liam Neeson jumping a fence from Taken 3":
@JFNYC1
As far as I know the NYPD hasn't been defunded yet and this still happened on their watch, so what exactly is the point you're trying to prove?
Kinda funny that there was an almost 4-year window between "Attack the Block" and "The Force Awakens" where I lamented that
@JohnBoyega
would never really blow up like we all wanted and now he's gracing 40-foot tall billboards like every 6 months for different giant blockbusters.
Got to see
#BlueBeetle
a few weeks ago and I enjoyed the hell out of it. I loved all the performances, from Maridueña to his family and even Raoul Trujillo as the villain. The best part for me, though, was how well-written and genuine the dramatic core of the story felt. Rec'd!

Hey
@jack
, will you eventually do something about the most widespread (and valid) complaint people have about Twitter? At some point, right?

My block has a bodega and a florist at the corner and each has a cat, and sometimes both cats come out and hang out together on the sidewalk and then walk back to their respective jobs after they catch up for a bit.
“Desde Puerto Rico, indicando! Maldita sea los puercos, los abusadores, y los chotas!”
“Ayeeeeeee, what the fuck did he say?!?! We don’t know but ayeeeeeeee!!!”
✊🏽 🇵🇷 I love this video, every second of it ♥️
P.S. He said "Fuck the pigs, the bullies, and the snitches!"
@DragonflyJonez
Sorry if someone else already mentioned it, but I kind of love the first (unintentional) photo of a human ever. It's from Paris (1838) and the only reason the man showed up in the pic is because he was standing still as his boots were being shined.
@ed_solomon
I remember that in the "If It Bleeds, We Can Kill It" doc they mention that "Predator" didn't start making money for 20th Century Fox until 2001. Allegedly, of course.
@MikeDrucker
Settling into my small seat in a cramped metal tube filled with gasoline that's going to launch itself 30K feet into the sky at 500mph towards a probably stressful family or work function, let me put on some Tarkovsky to distract myself from my anxiety
@fivefifths
He's the loner who passes through town, begrudgingly rescues the people living there from the bad guys, and then leaves not caring about their gratitude.
@AnnieGrayerCNN
The way the GOP gets away with saying stuff like "the [KKK is the] military wing of the Democratic party" when every single white nationalist group/militia has endorsed and voted Republican consistently for decades is impressive in a very heinous way.

The 17 suicides and 21 accidental deaths together or independently are more than enough to open up a ton of scrutiny. The 33 "undetermined" are a nightmare, good god

I can't remember the last Twitter update that wasn't roundly mocked or derided, while they keep ignoring the real nefarious problem.

Prime too. Once they switched "The Boys" and "Invincible" to that model I saw discussion on here about those shows double or triple. It works!
@jbouie
Farrell teaching them Spanish sold me. He was so good in that.
Also, before that, his reaction to the Batmobile revving up. A great "ahhh you motherfucker" face.
NEW: I reviewed Villano Antillano's (

! In her debut LP she continues being one of the most boundary-pushing artists around, while never sacrificing entertainment value and self-possessed swag:

I'm pretty sure the GOP backing a perverted teenage girl-fiending racist homophobe lunatic is what gave "Alabama to the democrats", tbh
@mattzollerseitz
I constantly think about him in "Key To Reserva" when he's explaining:
"My own Hitchcock film. The way he would've made it then, but making it now. But the way he would've made it then. If he was alive now, making this now, he would make it now, as if he made it back then."

Maybe because she wants to win GA and is pointing out that the people in swing districts who followed her advice won and those who didn't lost, which maybe is something to mull over for more than a second.
@DragonflyJonez
Like 15 years ago had an older coworker who was in a big salsa band back in the 70s, and he told me about how celebrities would come see them at the popular NYC clubs. Randomly mentioned De Niro would often be in the front row, every week a diff Black woman next to him.
Alito's draft opinion explicitly criticizes Lawrence v. Texas (legalizing sodomy) and Obergefell v. Hodges (legalizing same-sex marriage). He says that, like abortion, these decisions protect phony rights that are not "deeply rooted in history."
@oneunderscore__
There is no bigger sign that what is being said is 100% b.s. than the author saying "I might disappear for telling you the truth". That kind of hyperbole always means "I am making this up".
@oneunderscore__
This reminds me of when I learned it was "anchors aweigh" and not "away".
By which I mean today. Today is when I learned that. Just a few hours ago, thanks to subtitles on a movie.

"(they don't bark. you won't hear them coming)" is lowkey one of the most terrifying things I've read here. That's just good horror writing.
