YOU spent hours fighting a bill that would help working parents serve in government. @SCFreedomCaucus elitists believe only the rich and powerful should be in elected office.
Last day to pass bills out of the House, and we spent hours on a Democrat bill allowing politicians to use campaign contributions on child care… What we didn’t take up— ❌election integrity ❌judicial reform ❌tort reform ❌closed primaries ❌fixing our roads ❌income tax reduction Allowing special interest 💵 to be used for politician’s personal expenses is reckless. I offered an amendment to strike the bill and prohibit this practice. Dems and moderate “Rs” voted to table. My opponent has used campaign finances on a lavish lifestyle—catering, travel, personal expenses. I will work to stop these egregious abuses of campaign contributions for personal gain.

Bad news: the campaign money for childcare bill was resurrected. @RepAdamMorgan made an amendment to fix the bill, banning the use of campaign funds for this personal use. Unfortunately the amendment failed and the Dem bill passed the house.
