Ray Peat talked about how animals will get stress ulcers and internal bleeding if they are kept captive. But giving them a stick to bite on to simulate a sense of ‘fighting back’ will prevent these symptoms and keep them alive. Lesson about society in here.

I have a theory that on average Peaters are more likely to carry a high baseline of stress and tension in the body, potentially being accustomed to being in fight or flight mode more often than not. This excess tension held in the tissues can prevent adequate bloodflow making

Businesses are systems that adhere to bioenergetic rules. Energy (money, skills) allows for the creation of structure (systems, employees, materials) that allow for the flow of even more energy. The structure also needs a constant supply of energy or it will start to decay.

@CoffeewClassics There’s truth to it, but not 100% accurate. Nietzsche was as much poet as philosopher and went mad. You can lose yourself in imagination. It almost happened to Carl Jung too, but he (barely) managed to keep in touch with reality through his work & daily life.

@corpp_richard @robkhenderson Don’t read it chronologically. It’s just not the best way. With Jung start with Man & His Symbols, then you can go chronological, but it’s a lot of reading. Keep Aion & the Red Book for later. With Nietzsche start with Beyond Good & Evil. From here you could go anywhere imo.

@zaidkdahhaj The vitamin D3 argument should just end the argument. If there is just one real source of vitamin D3, and vitamin D3 is so beneficial for health, then the source of that vitamin (midday sun) has to be a net benefit. Otherwise the biological mechanism would not have developed.
