They will be in charge of the baseball ops internship program while working along side the GM, Asst GM and coaches on building the '24 roster.

Ben has been incredibly impressive for the Harbor Hawks thus far. He’s played great defense in LF and CF and made a few web gems early on in the season, even though his natural position is 3B! Great bat-to-ball skills… and that .500 batting average isn’t too shabby either.
Ben Williamson (William and Mary, 2023 elig.) is the hottest hitter in Cape Cod right now. Currently 10 for 20 with four doubles and only two strikeouts. Can also play all over the diamond defensively. He’s playing himself into early day 2 conversation.

I don’t have R out right now, but I bet the Stuff+ for his fastball is pretty decent since it’s trained using differential break, but could benefit by changing his grip/tilt. Slider Stuff+ is likely better — should definitely consider increasing the usage with that 100% Whiff%

Spin rate seems a bit high for a knuckleball. I believe RA Dickey averaged between 100-150 RPM on his. I know this isn’t a huge difference, but is there concern that the success of Waldron’s knuckleball isn’t as sustainable with that spin rate?

One of the main reasons why the ensemble of neural networks is best for this application is that besides having a low RMSE, the feature importance is not dominated by one particular characteristic of any given pitch (unlike other machine learning model types I tried out).

If I were the Isles GM, I’d prefer Forsberg over Gaudreau for a couple of reasons: (1) Forsberg is more of a pure goal scorer than Gaudreau, (2) I think that Forsberg’s AAV < Gaudreau’s, and (3) Forsberg would be a better complement to Barzal. That’s just what I think.
