Releasing a letter, clearly written by someone else, and including a bunch of names you DEFINITELY do not know, is just disrespectful to those that love the team. "We tried." lol. The fact that you STILL think that anyone cares about that at this point shows, once again, your lack of understanding of WHY people love the game. You love owning stuff, just not your actions. Which is exactly what sponsorships do. Christ guys, if you take a Fan duel ad, there is a built in implication that you endorse the product. That’s the point. It’s the law to have to disclose that info I some situations (like a tweet) but isn’t when live streaming (last time I checked). As for incentivizing support, that’s true and annoying. But legal, because they set it up that way. Like offering a million dollars to one lucky Trump voter from Elon. Is it annoying? Sure. Insidious? No.

@TheSonofGotham It’s less problematic than offering $1 million in a sweepstakes that requires you to pledge support as an entry requirement imo. But it’s how the system is built.

@TheSonofGotham They are paying to display a message, not to “back them” and that is a very important distinction. Now, I completely understand the part about being called a liar, that I am behind. But the insinuation that this is somehow buying an endorsement or a vote is just not true.

@gangsteromega4 Like it or not, influencer marketing is just another category of ad buy. Twitch forces ads now also. It simply does not mean that they are paying for support.
