On a BOM-BLR, an elderly lady beside me: "Oh no, deplaning from the rear? I don't like busses, I like aerobridges".
I helped her with her luggage and that was the last I saw of her.
I took the aft exit. Apron bus got me straight to the baggage belt.

The simple answer is, an aircraft needs a beacon OR strobe system.
While the white wing strobes may not have been turned on, the read beacon had been blinking, and that is legal.
- yours truly, a former aircraft exterior light designer with Honeywell, with designs on 737s.
I was under the impression the wing strobe had to be turned on before entering the runway, not just after lifting off from it…
