Even though Beryl hasn't strengthened as much as expected today, almost every model is in agreement that Beryl should undergo rapid intensification right before landfall. Curious to see if this actually comes to fruition.

has found its kryptonite in the form of dry air. The vortex has been close to aligned for most of the past 24 hours, but convective activity has been limited due to the decreased RH in its envt. Good news for TX as the max is probably Cat 1 now for landfall.
