Hello I’m the CEO of BT and have to let you know how dangerous Corbyn’s broadband policy is. I have flown back from the Cayman Islands on my private jet & foregone an entire weekend in my villa to ensure that people continue to pay lots of money to my company for shit broadband!
The year is 2025, you send a polite email to your MP asking them to support your campaign to save the local primary school.
Within the hour you are bundled into the back of a police car and taken to one of Starmer’s maximum security super-prisons and given 5 years for thuggery.
One thing I’ll take away from the last few years is that those ‘celebrities’ that have always claimed to be on the left are in fact not even remotely left wing.
So at my Nan’s funeral we had to forego the usual service, could only have 10 people attend, couldn’t carry the coffin, were not allowed any sort of wake but doing the conga in the street is fine??
Fucking hell.
Selfish pricks.
Ok, I’m arriving to this late but can you imagine how much stick Corbyn would be receiving if he was doing what Johnson is doing??
They’d be images of his face photoshopped on dictators bodies, they’d be talk of gulags - that sort of thing.
As it’s Johnson though...all fine.
Now that Starmer is facing some public scrutiny, his cheerleaders are out in force, crying about ‘mobs’.
Funny, they previously had no problem with press camped outside LOTO’s house and people shoving microphones in his face as he’s walking down the street.
Sir Keir Starmer says he is "disappointed" at the newly announced teacher strikes and calls for the NEU and the government to "get around the table."

I’m not going to say much on what’s going on today but I just wish that the people marching in London had shown as much interest in similar events for our NHS, workers rights and against austerity.
Perhaps we wouldn’t be needing the one today then??
Help me understand.
Why do Corbyn supporters who are now voting for KS think that some of the worst MPs in our party are supporting him? Do they think they’ve suddenly become lefties? Does it not concern them just a little bit??
There is a really strange phenomena from Starmer fans that I’ve been seeing a lot of lately. He will go on record and say something terrible & these people will say ‘oh yes, but what he meant was’ or ‘It’s clear he meant’
Then why didn’t he say it?
I was going to write a lengthy tweet explaining my reasons but I really cannot be arsed with this sort of thing any more.
On a personal level, this is a shitty thing to write about a comrade & supposed friend. That’s all I will say.
We need a Labour government not a lone backbencher - Jeremy should follow Tony Benn & leave Parliament to devote more time to politics where his voice as a Labour member & former Leader will be heard louder than in the Palace of Westminster
Perhaps Corbyn is the messiah? I don’t know but he’s able to make an event in Corby whilst simultaneously being in Africa (according to the yellow diamond squad).
Impressive!
I’ve had a difficult few weeks but thanks to the help of our superb
#NHS
I’m doing better now! Thank you to the fantastic junior Dr that helped me, I know how hard you work! Respect!
@NHSMillion
@keepnhspublic
Having supported Labour since I was able to vote and coming from a family that has always supported Labour, I thought it would always be my party.
The fact I, and the rest of my family for that matter, no longer feel Labour has our backs is sad.
I don’t see a way back now.
I’ve had the pleasure of talking with
@davenellist
on a couple of occasions when we ran rallies in support of Corbyn (back during the leadership bids).
A lovely guy and a proud socialist. If I lived in Erdington, I’d definitely vote for
@Dave4Erdington
.
Tell me again how Labour are on my side??
They just keep getting worse! I wouldn’t support this if the Tories proposed it, why would I vote for it if it’s got a red rosette?
Labour rules out universal childcare for young children
Of to bed but first...Labour Leadership.
I’ve voted
@RLong_Bailey
for Leader (no 2nd prefs)
@RichardBurgon
for deputy with
@DawnButlerBrent
as my 2nd pref.
Electing a London-based ‘Sir’ who ignored Leave voters is not going to win us seats back (plus he’s dull, really dull)
The responses to Owen Jones leaving Labour illustrates exactly why he felt he had to leave the party.
Even when they have everything they want, the Labour right can’t resist being petulant, spiteful and arrogant.
Yuck.
All those melts saying ‘Tory enabler’ to anyone not voting Labour, you can stop now. Starmer and his team have, on numerous occasions this week, made it clear they don’t want leftwing votes. Can’t be much clearer. They are saying ‘don’t vote for us’.
@beauvoirbaddie
When Capitalism tries to solve a mental health crisis.
This is definitely the sort of thing the current shadow cabinet think about when trying to solve the issue. It’ll be ‘You are on the waiting list, in the meantime, have you tried a wax melt?’
If Starmer and his ghouls can’t be persuaded to support a ceasefire at this point in the election cycle, why do you think you’ll be able to get them to listen to you on any issue after you’ve given them the keys to No. 10?
@BareLeft
It’s one of the main reasons we can’t have nice things in this country!
People are so scared that somebody else might be getting something they’re not and how dare they do that!
I’m a Dad and lecturer who is passionate about state education, our emergency services and mental health. These are just some of the reasons why
#ISupportJeremyCorbyn
Whilst I’m glad to see Tory MPs jumping ship, the willingness of the Lib Dems to take them onboard without blinking, says a lot about where they currently stand on things. Outside of Brexit, you can’t get a fag paper between Tories & Lib Dems.
Do you prefer the colour red to blue?
Then vote for us!
Do you think our donors deserve to have their pockets lined instead of Tory ones?
Then vote for us!
Prefer your managed decline with a bit more managerial oversight?
Then vote for us!
We’re so lucky!!
So, correct me if I’m wrong here but is this a Labour MP sticking up for a Tory MP who was clueless on TV on the grounds that she has done good work elsewhere?
And then, another Lab MP liked that?
This isn’t a fucking game!! People are dying & gov should be held accountable!
Looking forward to Paul Mason doing a multi-tweet thread on how being the ‘real Conversatives’ is actually extremely leftwing.
I think I’ll wait for the flowchart.
The fan club will laugh or scoff, and at the end of the day Owen is just one voter. However, there’s lots more of us who feel exactly the same.
Labour was in my blood.I’ve never voted another way. My family too.
None of us will back Starmer’s squad.
Solidarity Owen.
Great to be on the phones with
@Feargal_Sharkey
today speaking to voters for the fantastic
@Gvkitchen
in Wellingborough and
@damienegan
in Kingswood.
It's time for change. Only Labour will deliver it.
Starmer ran against 2 female candidates who are younger than him. I’m guessing this “Labour source” didn’t back them?
Besides, Starmer is certainly no spring 🐔!!
These are just the conversations that we have on record. How much more has been going on between HQ and CLPs? Within CLPs?
This feels like the tip of the iceberg...
@sweenaldo85
@aedison
Sorry but a vote for Starmer, however regretfully or reluctantly, is still a vote in support of what the party is doing. Yes, FPTP, but an X next to Labour will not be read as anything but support for this mess.
I just can’t support Tories whether blue or red.
Bit late to the party but I’m pleased to see
#WeareCorbyn
is still trending.
I’ve voted Labour my entire life, despite it being difficult at times! I’m anti tuition fees, anti PFI and anti academisation.
I’m so pleased that my party is once again with me on this! Thanks JC
Tony Blair can fuck off. He’s the reason we have a hard time getting people to vote Labour now. When canvassing Blair’s New Lab is the most frequent reason for not voting Labour. Him, his war & the money he’s made from it can do one!
Wes Streeting says he would “die in a ditch” before a Labour government gives up on the founding principle of the NHS being free at the point of use

One of the key reasons I support
@jeremycorbyn
is because we are finally talking seriously about education.
No tuition fees, reinstate EMA etc. and abolish academies.
Education is a right, not a privilege!
If the leader of the Labour Party thinks that the Tories are trying to do the right thing (for who?) then the country is shafted.
Its not a group of mates splitting into teams to play a game of footy, the parties stand for very different things!!
This man was truly a class act. Why do the good ones go early whilst the bastards who hoard their wealth (I’m looking at you Queeny) live on and on? (even passing beyond death in Philip’s case!)
Why isn’t Corbyn attending the people’s vote rally? Ask the people that would complain/heckle/protest if Corbyn got involved.
Are you honestly suggesting that you’d support the Labour leadership if they backed another ref?
Bullshit.
It’s funny what counts as a ‘voice of the youth’ in Starmer’s Labour.
Yes, you may be 25 but if you’ve not been educated at Oxford, had a job with the CBI, and worked for right wing MP, you don’t really understand what it’s like to be a young adult in the UK.
Grim.
All I’m seeing on the TL today is Labour saying they’ll get people “back to work” or “back to school”
There’s nothing about improving the work or school experience or conditions, just getting back there no matter what.
Grim.
I think my New Years Resolition this year will be to support independent media organisations. Our mainstream media is the shits and we need an alternative!
For years we have been sold certain celebs as being lefties. They’ve been given newspaper columns, TV shows & regular appearances on political shows as representatives of ‘the left’.
What we’ve seen is just how far from being left these chancers are!
I used to think there was no hope. You inspired me to get involved in politics and fight for a better life for all of us. I’m going to keep fighting.
Thanks pal!
@jeremycorbyn

“Free at the point of use” does not mean no privatisation! Far from it.
Councils could be forced to pay huge sums to private providers instead of actually funding a public NHS. When they push up the cost (greater profit!) we’ll have no recourse.
Means testing etc. follows.
I'm fully committed to the NHS as a public service free at the point of use.
Sharing this for the ‘but he wAnTs to PriVaTisE the nHS’ brigade who think that reform = privatisation and can’t comprehend that we might learn from other countries.
FOR SALE: Labour Party.
Ideal for Tories who prefer the colour red to blue. Extremely flexible beliefs & happy to u-turn at short notice. Possible seat in HoLs also included in sale.
All enquiries to Sir Keir Starmer.
Shocked to have just been messaged that as I write, the London regional party at
#LabourPartyConference
is sponsored by a Buy Now Pay Later firm. And the founder was given platform to speak against regulation.
Have these firms bought influence with every UK polical party?
This chap’s attitude and demeanour will make him favourite to become the PPC for his constituency!
Definitely pops any footballs that land in his garden.
This is going to be Labour Canvassers experience across the country come
#GE2024
They will quickly see that many are not buying the sound bites and carefully crafted press releases.
All Labour door knockers had better buckle up, it’s going to get bumpy.
I see Woodcock is defending Boris Johnson now...with friends like John, who needs the Tories!
My sympathies are with his constituents who have to tolerate him.
Please hurry up and join your buddies in the blue team! You’ll be much happier.
@TommyCorbyn
Please give your Dad my love.
He has inspired me to get involved in politics, fight for what I believe in and showed me the importance of looking out for each other. Most of all though, he restored my faith in people. Solidarity! 🌹
Starmer’s Labour does not care about mental health.
Probably not enough money in it?
For those of us who are actually impacted and care about mental health, this is a big red flag!
Been a busy 24 hours. I usually tweet a lot about Labour but this time it’s nothing to do with politics...
Say hello to my lovely little baby Flynn who was born early yesterday morning!
Once again the staff at George Eliot Hospital have been fantastic!!
Was great to have
@RichardBurgon
in Coventry this evening. He was charismatic, responded to questions in a thoughtful manner and offered a clear vision for the Labour Party. That’s why he gets my vote!
@Simon_Vessey
Do you mean that being shown lots of different line graphs or poll results hasn’t won you over to their crusade? Or being told you’re thick for not supporting them? Who’d have thought?
But seriously, I campaigned for Remain but the efforts of these groups is embarrassing.
The replies to this....🤦♂️
Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face!!
I’m voting Lib Dem because I know it will lead to Brexit Party winning but I’ll have my pride intact (dons EU flag beret).
If we ever have another vote then Leave would walk it!
So, the only way of stopping a huge propaganda victory for Nigel Farage and the British hard right is to vote Labour in the European Parliament elections.
@darrenpjones
@Keir_Starmer
Teachers, nurses and other vital public sector workers don’t want empowering or “reform”, they just want a fair wage and the resources needed to do their job effectively.
Word salad with zero substance, bespoke or otherwise.
Can’t stomach the “yes, I voted for the guy in 2008 but I’m so pleased he’s now gone” tweets from people who were lapping up his appearances on HIGNFY etc.
This is your monster, don’t pretend you haven’t been working in the lab for the last decade to bring it to life!
Not on our side.
This is a big one for me. My Dad had to return to work after a near-fatal heart attack because he was self-employed.
The lesser of two evils is still evil.
🚨 BREAKING: Labour has DUMPED its pledge to raise sick pay and extend it to the self-employed.
.
@LabourList
reports that Labour's National Policy Forum document does not mention increasing or extending sick pay, despite Labour previously pledging to do both.
I was confident that news of yesterday’s by-election would be that the Tories lost it. But no, it’s Labour not winning it!??
This has been a Lib Dem seat since the 70s!!
Also, it took parties standing down & throwing the kitchen sink to beat Tories!
@SaulStaniforth
This is the main argument for capitalism in any Introductory Economics textbook.
“Innovation” isn’t what is needed.
How can people innovate when they don’t have the resources to do their job properly?
How can people innovate if they are struggling to pay their bills?
Yeah, of course they can’t be the same. If they were you’d have Tory MPs jumping over to Labour!
Imagine that!
You’d also have a Labour leader who, in the midst of a pandemic repeatedly said they agreed with the government when they were being negligent.
Just imagine!
@beauvoirbaddie
Nothing shows that you are someone who clearly cares about the wellbeing of other people more than a slightly aggressive DM.
Now, go melt some wax and feel better.
