#bbcqt No reason for austerity to reconstruct the economy, use wider public ownership and rational planning instead of the failed market. As for money, the richest 1000 families in Britain were worth £250bn before ‘our’ decade of austerity, and £750bn after. Let them pay!

I could be wrong—'changed' Labour may win a 'landslide' tonight, but actually get fewer votes nationally than Jeremy Corbyn did in 2019! after two years of sustained character assassination. Tonight is Labour's high water mark. When it doesn't deliver, it will leave a space

#OTD In 1991, Terry Fields MP was imprisoned for refusing to pay the Tories' Poll Tax in solidarity with the millions who could not afford to pay. We need MPs like Terry today to seriously fight for a socialist opposition to the cost of living crisis:

I just signed the #MakeEqualityReal campaign's #GeneralElection pledge for candidates as the #TUSC candidate for Coventry East. It is time to make austerity unlawful and make equality real - that's what makes me a socialist fighting for a socialist society and a new party rooted

Starmer’s spokesperson “Nobody wants to see industrial action that's disruptive” Tories don't want "effective" strikes either In #Coventry Labour has spent £3m employing strike-breakers against #CovBinStrike so we know what they mean Solidarity #RMT #Unite
