Went to an opera with friends and a friend of theirs. Because I needed the front seat of the car, she grilled me for over an hour, including some racist comments. Had to tell them I wouldn't come again if she was there. My walking looks ok but is actually difficult/painful.

My own NHS experience - it is common for the nasty people to have a charming/slimy persona, they are often good looking (helped their career), & they have a network of similar; this is a great advantage to them when issues are raised, making folk sceptical of the complainant.

Retention is much cheaper. The number of senior staff who have just walked, earlier than planned, due to bullying and nastiness is shocking. 3 friends and I all left last year, different departments, no one even asked why. All took our pension.

The number of times my FOI/SAR have been ignored, refused, or redacted to only my name is mad, but the ICO intervention has worked most times.
