No, it's about 5k a month with CA taxes and other deductions. Just the rent for a 1bdr is 2500-3k a month. 100k barely covers the basics.

Awful...in engineering, been looking for 6 months, 15 years of experience, graduate degree. Not even a single phone call in 6 months and over 200 applications sent out. I don't think I have ever seen it this bad...maybe except the 2008-2010.

Not so...I have thought about buying land and getting the hell out of CA for a decade. You need money, lots of it. Most people don't have it, so they are stuck. There are expenses associated with off the grid living. Its far from free.

It's really screwed up how they define minority. North Africa, Middle East, parts of Asia are considered white, while in reality, definitely a minority. Only blacks and hispanics count as minority. Glad this ended!
