Not just Ajanta, even the Sanchi stupa Thorana is built by Satavahanas. This makes it much more interesting as from 1st B.C to until Kakatiyas, the Thorana tradition was seen in Telugu parts and it reached zenith under Kakatiyas.
Interestingly, the Ajanta art is a mixture of Andhra art of Satavahanas and Vakatakas, and the Gupta art of North India.

Narasimha, Rama are old Vaishnava Gods in Telugu parts and then came Venkateshwara.

Every district in Telugu zone has numerous Narasimha temples. Which is why Telugu parts are "Land of Narasimha". Temple construction in India itself started around Gupta period i.e 3rd A.D to 5th A.D. Vakataka Queen Prabhavati Gupta who ruled Vidarbha, TG patronized Narasimha too

Good to see Hon'ble PM visited Vemulawada Temple, which holds clout on much of Telangana is famed as Dakshina Kashi & served as capital for Vemulawada Chalukyas.
It is traditional hub to spread Smartha, Lingayat, Vaishnava philosophies in entire Northern-Central parts of TG.
This morning at Vemulawada, I prayed at the Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy Devasthanam. As the MP from Kashi, the connect with this Temple felt even greater. I prayed for the good health and prosperity of my fellow 140 crore Indians.

Though Narayanpet Saree seems to be popular & auspicious in Maharashtra, Karnataka. It is actually from Telangana's Narayanpet district bordering Karnataka and saree is called "Princess of Gold".
Narayanpet was a Samstana and was ruled by Marathis (Deshastas afaik).

1. When someone dies as child or for saintly persons.
2. when one moves from Telugu region towards Karnataka & Tamilnadu burial proportion increases mostly due to Lingayat influence
95% of north indians dont know that 95% of dravidians (ethnic kannada telugu tamil malayali etc ) bury their dead , NOT cremate them.

I think there is great amount of confusion regarding "Kapu" wod coz of differences in timeline & regional aspects.
1. Whenever ancient Folklore use Kapu in folklore, it's about Reddy or Kamma-Velama but not today's Kapus, who are Telagas/Balijas/Ontaris at that time.

The reason I asked is Rajapalayam reminded me of several Telugu settlements around Chennai with agricultural lands as the mainstay that have an offical Tamil name but also Telugu endonyms given by the settlers, one of which is Rachapalayam.

I think, that's how Golconda Yellamma got "Jagadamba" name. She is one of the oldest Yellamma in entire TG, dates back to Kakatiya times.
