Being able to give your child an education without the anchor of debt is one of the best gifts you can give your children. Not easy for many.
Caveats: they have to get good grades, not take a stupid major, and acknowledge the privilege they have.
@rohindhar
Everyone wants to live in Castle’s I used to live in the heart of these castles in north Texas. They just shrink ‘em down for the poor folk.
@rohindhar
GenX here. I was making $22k when I bought my first house in the Midwest for $111k. I was house poor beyond belief. 9.25% rate.
The belief that the boomers had it easy is just a lazy take. Salaries in the 70’s were ridiculously low. See my tweet below
@FinPhilosopher
I ran some huge sales teams….Don’t underestimate how many people are living check-to-check. They built their lives based on anticipated cash flows. Women are often the CFO of the family, so yes they need to consult them.
@lindsaystamp3
You should definitely have some fun when you’re young but not at the expense of kids and a family. Most parents will trade the experience of children over a trip to Bali.

@JasperShreds
I’ve driven hundreds and hundreds of miles in Germany. The Autobahn has a lot of traffic so it’s hard to find places to really let the car rip. Germans are rule followers so they stay to the right. They don’t clog up the left lane and they are very aware of other drivers. It
@indexnforgetit
That’s not fast- casual. Chipotle, Cava and Noodle & Co are fast casual. Those are just casual restaurants with a budget target market. Nothing fast about Applebees. 🤣
Honestly, they are there for the masses. The core Walmart customer like these restaurants because they
@carlquintanilla
Carl, you’re a smart guy (on TV) who seems to genuinely be nice …but your passive aggressive, cherry picked, political posts are so off-putting. You need to get out of NYC bubble and see how most people live and think.
@WClementeIII
I think this dip is done. Grind sideways and slightly up over the next couple of days and then back up. $78 by mid May before another pause/dip. Daily RSI is ready. Weekly needs to get to 54ish from its current 58. Watch 51350 by 7pm ET today.

Yes it is the most diverse city I the U S. NY has a ton of immigrants but they are mostly from a small handful of countries. Houston has fewer concentration but far more countries represented. PS I used to track the immigrant communities across the US for business.
@his_eminence_j
This is misleading. Inventory is up in the area because it’s spring. Houses are selling in 36 days on average, up from 33 last year. With prices stable.
@tomkarren
@rationalaussie
Yes! 💯
I grew up in a basic house with crappy cars and basic food. There was no dining out all the time. Life was much harder but housing was cheaper.
@BianchiWeather
winds in Evergreen are picking up. I’ve measured one gust at 50mph. Interestingly the elk herd have have all huddled together to weather the storm.
@NikolaNuggets
Nate is correct. I live in Denver area and also lived in MN for a long time. Very similar ethos amongst the people. There are neighborhoods in Denver where I swear I could be in MPLS. Two great cities! Go Wolves!
@RobertDobalina7
@rohindhar
Also, the square footage from 1970 to now is up 166% so the houses are not equivalent. I'm not arguing that housing is not expensive but this data is misleading and to say that the Boomers had it easy is just false. Technology has reduced the prices of almost everything since
@BadMoneyGuy
I paid my mom rent for about a year when I was finishing school and trying to get my shit together. If you’re over 22 you should pay rent .. it’s called adulthood.

Sellers remorse is accurate. A big playoff will assure more as $, step raise of ticket prices and many more monetizing opportunities. The price negotiation from two years ago is out dated. Sad but Glen is just being greedy.

“Teachers who feel terrified in the classroom cannot serve our students well. They cannot challenge the students to think critically about the world they live in. In the end, therefore, it is students who will bear the brunt of these policies.”

I've worn indoor shoes with good arch support for 20 years. I had nagging planter fascitis and my feet feel great and I've never had another issue.

Typical pullback for $BTC before another move up, IMO. Weekly RSI hit 88 in March and it needed to cool off. It’s now 47 and ready for a bounce. Testing the bottom of the bull flag channel.
Market is taking advantage of the closed futures market today to pull back and let the

If life is so tough where you are I would leave. There are far more affordable places to live. BTW, I doubt the avg income is $44k. Avg household income in the US is $74k.
@JrVan906
@rohindhar
I don't know what year that was? In 1975 the average house was $42K and the average income was $9,870. So your parents bought a very cheap house and made 3x the average income.
@KobeissiLetter
Margins at MCD have not drastically increased so labor must be eating the rest of the increase. Wages went up big time to get folks back after Covid.
@CoachRolfes
No, but people will say it is. This is about selfishness in the disguise of independence, IMO. Let’s be honest, women are in control of this and are prioritizing their own experiences over starting a family. Marriage rates are the lowest ever.
@JustinBennettFX
@Bitcoinhabebe
This is so dumb. $BTC can easily consolidate around this area for a few more months. There is nothing special about $65k.
@Fire5280
There is absolutely no way you could reliably get 75K from $1 million portfolio over 30 years without assuming a significant amount of risk. And that is why $1 million is not enough to retire.
April 6th was the 75th anniversary of my grandfather's death. Thank you Spiegel for remembering his life. Don't read German? Google will translate automatically.

I got my MBA at 37. It was worth it. I just never wanted it to be the things that held me back. Paid for itself nicely because I could see my trajectory. Many get an MBA and they should not because they don’t have all the other skills to advance.
@DividendBreeder
$BTC is the best performing asset in the last decade. The real question is why wouldn’t you buy it? At a 5% allocation it could drop by 50% and you’d be down 2.5% on your portfolio. If t doubles your up 5%. $BTC is to be held for the long term, IMO.

I think you get a quick move in the next two weeks as all the folks waiting for 43k realize they missed the dip and FOMO back in. I still think we are 75-78k by Memorial Day.

Ah, you need to study some history. Vietnam war…70’s stagflation, 18% interest rates. Cold War, 80’s hair bands. Life was rough.
@melissasavenko
This 100% correct. What I've found from this thread is that the GenZ from CA are extra bitter. They want it all right now. There are still very nice and affordable places in the US, with well-paying jobs.
I am excited to announce I've joined Securus Technologies to lead the payments business. We have ambitious plans to deliver new solutions to the government sector to modernize your community services experience. Stay tuned...

I have bought dozens of Apple products and never once purchased AppleCare. All product insurance programs are major scams. I also don't buy travel insurance...

This is happening everywhere. Insurance increases are insane and local government is taking every opportunity to raise taxes on the back of housing appreciation
@scottmelker
Volume is still low. There is no panic selling. I continue to to think we trade in a downward channel for three months. I see $54,500 as the low ( could have a intraday dip below).
