My Story (a thread):
GOAL: To build passive income through dividend growth investing to ultimately set my family up for long-term, sustainable, financial success.
My daughter recently had an ear infection.
Took her to the doctor, who prescribed an antibiotic.
That Dr. visit cost $312. My insurance covered $92, so we owe $220 out of pocket.
I pay $527/month for family health insurance.
Something seems broken.

I was recently sick. Symptoms got so bad I went to urgent care (in network).
I was seen for 20 minutes.
They asked some questions, did a couple tests, and prescribed me a steroid.
The steroid calmed my symptoms, but the tests didn’t show anything.

My wife and I were fortunate to receive the $8,000 first-time home buyers credit back in 2009.
This helped us put down 20% so we could avoid PMI.
While it played a small role, it also helped set us up financially for years to come.

This is big for me because it means that even if I contribute nothing, my account is investing $300/month (on avg.) on its own.
The snowball is building.
$1,000,000 invested in $O Realty Income would buy 18,943 shares.
