Thank you for telling us the dark side of London.
I have been living in the Central area(West Central)of London for more than 50 years.
I go out every day without any fear and never witnessed any incidents your friends experienced. Always something new to lean.

I met my husband on holiday in Majorca, married 6 months later. He has never met Japanese woman or been to Japan.
53 years later, no regrets.
@madametehran
Maybe the Supermarket sandwiches are tasteless, but if you make your own sandwiches, It’s much better. Not everyone likes soft and slightly sweet Japanese bread.
Ham and Cheese are better here than Japan.

I don’t understand. Bacon is salty, black pudding is already flavoured, baked beans is in tomato sauce and mushrooms are seasoned with salt and peppers.
Toast with salted butter is tasty. You don’t need any more salt or sauce.

The pub was clouded with local Welsh speaking people and when they discovered that I was Japanese, they decided to shake hand with me one by one. Afterwards they all gone back to their drinks. Amazing experience 😳
I left Japan before the development of Word Processors. I never leant how to E-mail or tweet in Japanese.
Today, I was told off by a Japanese lady living in London by answering her tweet in English.
I anybody offended by my answer in English, please ignore me.
@KojuMac
Many reasons I heard from Japanese twitters.
1 use Taxi (Tokyo to Kyoto??)
2 don’t bring such a big suitcase(3-4 weeks travel with a hand luggage?)
3 use delivery service (you need to understand the system)
4 don’t come to Japan (some of us have a family and friends)

Actually, this method of cooking any rice has continued until quite recently. In 1960s,1970s, the rice served in the restaurants were always slightly soggy.

I don’t know I am not a tourist, but our WiFi home is quite weak. In the public places such as hospitals, some good and some bad. The cafes, restaurants and pubs are usually good. I am not a Sumaho generation, so it’s doesn’t matter to me much😂

What is the perfect accent? In USA, my husband (English) didn’t understand anything American native’ saying.
Likewise, we don’t understand strong NZ accent either.
Every nationality should be able to speak in their accent. It’s called diversity.
@pirosuke_new
I did the same this year. The Scones and Easter Mini Buns for my sister.
On following day she generously given them to the visiting guests keeping a few Buns.
I heard no comment from the guests😂 Never again.
An olive tree in front of our local supermarket in London. It appeared to be doing well this year due to mild winter and spring and a lot of rainfall.

Our local community garden is full of Elizabeth (Ausmajesty) English shrub roses now.

30, 40 years ago, the French people pretended not speak English. Today almost every one speaks English, but a few words of French always goes well.
My experience is as a tourist, not to live.

More the Moslem women enjoy themselves the better with or without hijabs. The Olympic Games in particular, they can play sports but also watch the sports without restrictions.
