@samrad77 @greedylobster Maybe the issue is related to the term “sclerosis”, which should mean “hardening” of the tissue, which is obviously absent in the acute phase of a fracture. Maybe “radiopacity” (for X-rays) and “hyperdensity” (for CT) are more appropriate terms? 🤓

@Neuro_Matt @ABarotchi1 Unfortunately, tons of radiological exams are done without any evidence-based utility nor any proper clinical assessment.

@Neuro_Matt The issue is “IF there is an indication”. And who decides if there is an indication. And why. Literature says about 1/3 of radiological exams are useless. Every 3 exams, 2 are helpful, 1 is useless. Think about it.

@EMiddlebrooksMD @radfugee @teachplaygrub @TheAJNR …the question is: what should we do when we come across such a set of neuroradiological findings,no one diagnostic but all pointing toward the same direction (hypothesis)?Should we raise the suspicion of NPH, suggesting to clinically evaluate this hypothesis, or we shouldn’t? 🙏🏼
