Can you explain the circumstances of this ban? It’s unacceptable given the high profile nature of this event. Perhaps Southern should pay compensation to those affected. Perhaps your company needs to improve its planning to avoid this.

All he had to do was comply when told he was detained for a drug search, why is that so difficult to understand? If all was ok and he had nothing to hide, he’d be on his way and officers resuming their patrol instead of this.

Unfortunately there a lot of armchair experts out there. No officer wants to have to destroy a Dog. Decisions have to be made based on circs, risk, threat etc, most know that. Well done those officers. Keep up the good work.

I know a skipper who’s been on restricted duties for probably now about 2 years for similar. His MH has deteriorated. Hopefully there will be a positive outcome soon, even if a warning. He looking to leave. Shocked when he told me. A good cop.

Earlier this year my niece tried to take her life and jumped off a bridge on the M4 motorway. Left me in tears. She’s ok, broken bones, no head injuries and recovering well. She’s prepping 4uni. My thanks2 emergency services that looked after her.

John, so why not invest properly in those that already serve, the Special Constabulary. Invest in those that already serve for free. Don’t bypass them and create a new body thst isn’t needed. That would be a huge slap in the face for many.
