It’s being rolled out across the MPS. Bromley again tomorrow, then Croydon next week and Sutton the week after. These events are open to any officer. After SN BCU it moves on across the MPS. Check the intranet for full details. Tomorrow I am joined by the Deputy Commissioner between 9am and 12. The Commissioner will be with us between 6pm and 8pm. Other management board members will visit throughout the day. We would love to see anyone tomorrow regardless of where you work.

The Deputy Commissioner has been really clear on this, all officers and staff should get the same style event. The team from OSS will be travelling about the MPS delivering these over a number of months. I spoke to you BCU Commander yesterday and he is looking forward to the event.

Great to get out and visit this Community Day in Dagnall Park, Croydon. These events create safe places for the local youth during the school holidays. Also a welcome chance for my officers to spend time building trust with large numbers of kids. Hopefully a reminder to all that the officers are human beings and do genuinely care about the communities we police. @MPSCroydon @croydon_king

Today marks the end of the school year for the @BromleyVPC cadets. A really great evening with a formal ceremony and then awards in front of their parents. The young cadets I met this evening are so proud to be part of the policing family, many of whom are keen to join the regular service in due course. Throughout the year they have been truly humbling with their commitment, enthusiasm, smart appearance and a willingness to help make their communities in Bromley a better place to live. My thanks to the cadets, the cadet instructors and to all the parents who have supported us over the last 12 months. Great work and quick response by @MPSCroydon yesterday evening. At 1854hrs officers were called to reports of a stabbing on the Croydon Tram network (near Lloyd Park). Officers arrived 4 mins after the call was received. They gripped a chaotic scene, providing first aid to the victim and fast time investigative enquiries leading to the arrest of the suspect. An example of the great work our officers undertake on a daily basis. Our thoughts are obviously with the victim who is recovering in hospital at this time. We also shouldn’t lose sight of the impact of these incidents on the officers and other emergency services. My heartfelt thanks to these amazing emergency responders. #proud @Ldn_Ambulance @MPSCroydon @metpoliceuk

A bit of a geeky tweet, but wanted to share a picture of some of our new electric fleet that has just landed at @MPSSutton. Three new vehicles along with a portable fast charger. Residents of Sutton will see these vehicles out on patrol from tomorrow. Looking forward to see if electric vehicles work as response vehicles. Interested in views about this technology and its use in policing. Also interested in any lessons already learned by those forces that have electric vehicles.

This incident involved a victim in his 50s being stabbed multiple times in his leg causing significant injuries. Great investigative work by our colleagues in @MPSRTPC who support me with policing across the BCU. #CommunityCrimeFighting

A real honour today to attend the annual Met Police Cadet Competition at @MPSFirearms training centre in Gravesend. All 32 boroughs had young people from their local communities represented in the competition, who camped out overnight in a nearby field. Well done to @Sutton_VPC @BromleyVPC @CroydonVpc for trying so hard over the weekend, but most importantly for having fun. The cadets are always a constant reminder that there are so many kids in London who have a strong sense of community spirit and a desire to be involved in policing.
