@Uptonpark_1 @ChaponaBike123 It literally doesn't work both ways. The cycle lane is *part* of a traffic lane and cyclists are as entitled to the rest of the lane as they are the cycle part. It's intent is to highlight space for cycles, not to restrict them to a narrow strip.

@th3luca @Stuchee83 @ChaponaBike123 Reading the reg plates when recording video is good practice. It serves as a record incase the video doesn't pick it up perfectly. Exactly the same thing as someone without a camera repeating a reg plate out loud until they get a chance to stop and write it down.

@_Im_Called_Ste_ @SaferRoadsYorks @NYorksPolice This might be a ground breaking idea, but perhaps drivers shouldn't overtake around bends when they can't see what's there.

@stephenhdg @JimsWheels Hi Steve, I'm a cyclist and I don't go through red lights. Just thought you should know. In future I'd appreciate if you could amend your outrage to "all cyclists, except at least one, go through red lights". That should cover you from being wrong again. Cheers.

@MilsteadMovies @JimsWheels That's unacceptable and it is pretty audacious of them to act like you're in the wrong here. I'm sure it's not your intent, but bringing this up in this context makes it sound as though you think these two situations are comparable in some way and should be treated as such.

@theInfraPM Get rid. These undermine proper road positioning and encourage dangerous, illegal, passing. Order of preference: Segregation>full width painted lane>nothing>murder strip

@Glenorchil @SimonRook1 @Bikery1966 @Wonkysean They are unassisted once you exceed the 15.5mph limit. I ride an e-cargo bike and it provides e-assist in setting off and getting up to 15.5mph, but I regularly continue to accelerate once the motor cuts out and ride at 20-25mph.

@libdemdave @hazr198 Same issue as with the buses then. I did once cycle to get a 6am flight because it was that or a taxi. It was fine, but I wouldn't recommend a late night at Hoots beforehand....

@CyclingInASkirt @theJeremyVine Odd that they aren't honking the road user in the middle of the road in front of them...at least behind the bike they were still moving. It's also a great demo of why speed doesn't mean shorter journeys. Other car traffic holds them up far more than a cyclist.

@righttobikeit Interesting that they are happy to fully stop and block two lanes in order to use up his and your time to complain that you are slowing down one lane and using up his time.

@H_H_Gray I don't understand why people are getting so mad about this. It's literally not harming anyone. There's a shop near me with no bike parking and I always parked my cargo bike in a regular parking space - nobody was phased at all. Rather I left it on the footway or by the trollies?

@lawro14764 @Frodoslead @ChaponaBike123 @bluesbreaker196 Yippee for you, many things haven't happened to many people. That doesn't mean they don't happen to others. Use that logic with any other crime and go tell the victims they're talking shite.

@SusanGuest Watched a HGV mount the kerb at speed taking the roundabout from Carsegate Road onto Telford Street. Just didn't fancy slowing incase they had to give way is my guess. Glad there wasn't anyone walking round the corner the opposite way at the time.

@skiersteve23 @metoffice It's 6C where I am today. It was 13C here yesterday, though a friend told me it was 15C with them not far out of town.

@skiersteve23 @metoffice Bloody MSM trying to fool us into thinking it can be different temperatures in different places on different days.
