"Ruby! You can't call me and Blake dykes! You're being such a bigot!"
"Ad hominem."
"I'm your sister! You should be happy for me!"
"Appeal to emotion."
"I thought you supported gay rights!"
"Strawman fallacy."
"You're on the wrong side of history!"
"Appeal to historicism."
@niaspeakss
Horikoshi said in an interview that Deku was inspired by Spider-Man, so it makes sense that he would screw his life over and rob him of happiness for no reason.

Most the changes 4kids made were to have anime be broadcast easier. I can half respect that, because at least it's pragmatic, even though it butchers the original.
This stuff has none of that excuse. It's all either politics or xenophobia.

Liquid Luck is an advanced level potion that takes 6 months to brew and only grants greatly increased, not absolute, luck. It can be countered, and the difficulty/time to brew it makes mass production infeasible. It is also toxic in large quantities.

"When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up."
-C.S. Lewis.
so Henya just debuted for Vshojo and its literally just Pikamee which means the entire Hogwartts fiasco had literally no effect on Pikamee graduating at all ( like sane people assumed )
great..
@kuzutrashkuzu
Dan Salvato actually likes VNs though. He wrote DDLC because he wanted people to think about how much they love fiction and to introduce people to VNs.
Youโre free to dislike the story, but if you do, donโt do it for fake reasons.

Rape is romantic and healthy. The demonization of rape in the modern age is why so many relationships are unhealthy, unstable, and fall apart. Many women want to be raped, and many men want to be rapists. Why should we stop them?
"Why can't you just accept us?"
"Kill homos."
"Hey!"
"Behead homos. Roundhouse kick a homo into the concrete. Slam dunk a homo into the trashcan. Crucify filthy homos. Defecate in a homos food. Launch homos into the sun. Stir fry homos in a wok. Twist homos heads off."
@ShitpostRock
The Tolkien vs Martin shit is so weird when Martin loves Tolkien, and wrote GoT in part as a take that to stories which poorly mimicked him
The review says pretty much nothing about the actual quality of the writing, just about the morality, or lack thereof, of the characters.
Pretty typical for people who donโt like Mushoku Tensei.
Mushoku Tensei Season 1 (Cour 1) is one of the best-looking isekai anime ever. Unfortunately, it's paired with a source material that was one of the earliest and most influential isekai web novels, to then for the last decade inspire the worst parts of the genre.

An artist is under no obligation to make their audience feel comfortable. Art must be allowed to be as uncomfortable as the creator wishes. Censorship is bad for society, not problematic art. If you don't like something, don't consume it.
If you consume any content with loli, you're telling the creator that you're fine with said content. Even if you do it "Critically". Anyone disgusted by loli should either stop reading WTC or shut up. You're enabling a lolicon to make loli content.
Moral puritans simply do not want free speech. They want stories to always have a clear and exact teachable moral like something youโd tell a child because they infantilize fiction, and are infantile themselves. Fiction should be free, and puritans hate freedom.
Fictional characters "not facing consequences for their actions" has been such a weird refrain in media critic spaces because "consequences" is meant to mean a coarse verbal tongue lashing from another character and not the actual disaster that their choices did cause in canon.
Trying to use your race to prove a point means that you have no point. It's also racist. It implies that the important thing is that it's coming from a person of your race. You're saying that we should judge messages based on race, rather than meaning, which is fucking racist.

All of my time on Social Media has taught me that the more sparkly and colorful a woman presents herself, the more unhinged and horrifying a woman she is.
Yknow i think alot of the deku hate is coming from the fact that teachers in the west arenโt treated that well
But in japan and the culture Horikoshi grew up in
teaching in Japan is considered a most honorable profession and teachers are given high respect and payments
@simonm223
This is especially funny because Evangelion was made by Hideo Anno as a subversion of everything he hates about anime and anime fans, mocking the exact kind of person this is being marketed to and this type of marketing itself
@TopGyaru
1/ Throughout the entire story, it was hyped that Deku would be the next global symbol of peace like All Might and get with Ochaco, only for it just to randomly not happen. Itโs a bad, unsatisfying ending because it actively betrays the expectations and premise it built up.
@Jaereku
Iโll take it a step further and say that more than half of those fans arenโt really autistic, and just call themselves it because itโs trendy.
