It’s much much more nuanced than that. The American Revolution didn’t change the economic system nor did it substantially expand democratic institutions. It was a revolt by the merchant and plantation classes to maintain the status quo, ie unrestricted slave trade.

Ultimately the people who are dividing us are in-large people who joined the party with the intent of tryna change it. 99% have good intentions I assume but at the end of the day, one of the requirements of joining the party was agreeing to uphold its program. Take it or leave it

Not exactly. Like another comrade said, the number of slaves imported from the Caribbean grew tenfold post-revolution. The move towards Northern industrialization later on had more to do with increased slave revolts and settlers worried about being outnumbered by slaves.
