Restarting the book thread over again. I’ll begin with a posting in regards to fascism: it’s an older book titled The Peril of Fascism from the late 1930s. Still relevant if one wants to better understand fascism today.

& in fact no freedom at all. You can't take a single thing from China as a matter of fact, it is always important to seek multiple outside reputable sources for confirmation on anything from this freedom hating repressive regime.
Communism, historically, seems nearly on par with the Nazis for harmful ideologies. I'm really confused why so many people today identify as communist without stigma? If they mean a different thing, why not pick a different name? Or is there a lot of history amnesia?
France still maintains that 14 African States must use the Franc of the French Colonies in Africa as their currency, maintaining 50% of assets in the French Central Bank, as recently as 2004 they overthrew the Haitian government for daring to ask for compensation for slavery.
@endsanctions
Anything CIA — more specifically? Weaponizing drugs against black & minority poor communities, including using drugs to destroy entire countries.
When Taliban came, the opium production levels dropped. After US intervention, boots on the ground, it went back up.
The hammer and sickle representing socialism is what destroyed the fascist monster of German nazism & continues to inspire revolutionaries the world over. 🫡
Cope and seethe.
@SecretPidgen
The hammer and sickle is associated with some of the worst regimes of the 20th century.
The red rose is associated with the most egalitarian & humanistic societies humans have yet succeeded in creating. I'm happy it is the symbol of the largest socialist organization in America.
White people forget that black people make good slaves. When blacks know their place, their strong bodies are well-suited for manual labor in the field and household. Friendship and shared interest unite master and slave. Blacks are not the problem; emancipation is.

Can we also add in Operation Phoenix, Operation Cyclone, Iran-Contra & the nuclear bomb testing of the pacific isles likes the Marshall Island that displaced & impoverished native peoples?
*Sighs deeply.*
Let's dive into this. I get the feeling it's gonna be slanted and a lot of sneering at communists, pretending he's intellectually honest.
@LunaOi_VN
, Armchair's back.
@MatthewJohn666
No one ever talks about the sanctions the US placed China under for decades. They tried to stomp out the revolution post 1949.

The social credit system ala black mirror does not exist. It’s a hyped up idea of the West to scare people about China being scary. 🙄

He heads a kleptocracy with a band of oligarchs. Ironically, the United States created the conditions that lead to Putin's rise. Gorbachev, dick he was, rammed the process through & dissolved the USSR and implamented neo-liberal econ shock policies similar to how the US did Chile

I'm not fucking surprised. It's all so biased. Hey,

Your methodology sucks & your bias is apparent.

Medical debt, anti corruption, cheap prescription drugs, affordable housing and health insurance, predatory loans and wealth tax on the richest of America.

what does Biden offer beyond a return to bliss? Ignoring the working and middle class for profit.
@maggieogs
@RadioFreeAsia
Imagine saying this all the while, you ignore the opioid & addiction crisis spreading in the US, only 35% home ownership, most Americans don't have 400 dollars in their bank for an emergency & the vast military footprint of the USA which is 800+ bases.
do yall realize that israel is literally poisoning the sea. they’re dropping white phosphorous and other chemicals on the beach which will eventually seep into the waters. plus the smoke, dust, high amounts of thermal energy. they’re razing the environment too
Hannah Arendt died
#OnThisDay
46 years ago.
While Marxists often call her a reactionary, conservative, or elitist, the relationship between Arendt and Marxism is not quite so simple:
The part about the land confiscation from South Vietnamese and 'given to loyal communists.'
From whom was land confiscated from? Sounds like landlords/imperialist collaborators. It reeks of 'the ebil communists are ebil' trope. 🤪
@Forbes
@AngelAuYeung
So...
That means, like, what? Bezos gave away the equivalent of 50 cents of his wealth. lol.
Stop falling for this shit: philanthropy and other bs announcements like this act as camouflage to escape accountability.
Hannah Arendt is one of the most low key despicable figures of the 20th century. A German Jew who dated a Nazi in her youth, she ingratiated herself w her American hosts by defaming the anti-racist USSR which defeated Hitler, equating them w the Nazis themselves. What a worm lol
Have you seen the suicide rates in South Korea? Or the unemployment polls? Ya'll need to talk more about the People's Republic of Korea & how the US partitioned the country, installing an anti-communist police state. Gonna turn this into a looooong DPRK thread.
@Robbygoldd
@KaoticLeftist
Indeed, it is worth defending.
It's not that we regard the DPRK as this 'utopian paradise,' it's that the DPRK is a developing country & is under threat by Western aggression for following their own model of development.
Armchair's MO: brush over and ignore the history of colonialism by the West, especially the fact that British stole HK from China & flooded opium into the country.
@AManInTheSun
Israel's settler-colonialism is destroying the eco-system & ruining the co-existence indigenous Palestinians maintained with nature for centuries.
America exports it's colonial extermination model overseas: that's what's been going on for *years*.

Communist-led Vietnamese victory over the third(usa) imperialist occupation in as many decades happened today 45yrs ago, the socialist north and the Vietnamese ppl finally liberated and reunified the entire country.
@GoodVibePolitik
@NotPotBol
It's indicative, at least, of what the ruling class is thinking: they're worried about present conditions further deteriorating.
That socialism is explicitly denounced here says a lot.

No we didn’t. We appeased overt violence. Different . And it’s not about persuading nazis buddy. It’s about maintaining rule of law and promoting reason over violence. That’s how you maintain a pluralistic society and teach people that one appeals to violence only when violence

Typical.
Armchair characterizes the Coalition of Countries that supported the US: fascist states that includes 3 monarchies. Considering his fondness for Rhodesia & sympathies for the Tsarist White Army, no surprise.

I find it curious: you call out Trump's nepotism & war crimes, but

You're describing the West. China's entire history and cultural values are different in terms of development. Try a take that doesn't suck.
Like many socialists around the world, G. A. Cohen invested the Soviet Union with his hopes for a more just and equal society. In time, he grew disillusioned with the USSR — but he never stopped fighting for a better world.

It is solid because America is by and large the culprit of why the world is the way it is today. Besides, the US always leaves out context and prior events that built to this moment: like denying the Minsk Agreements or the Maidan coup of 2014.
