My 92 yr old mum just tested positive for Covid.
Why the hell aren't there any mitigations out there? Why is there no awareness campaign? I now have to worry about her, my 93 yr old dad, my sister, a friend w/MND, my vulnerable partner & myself

@elisaperego78
one for you.
Dear
@robbiewilliams
Were you aware that there are more people in the UK living with
#LongCovid
than there are following you on Twitter?
We thought you were one of them and we originally reached out because we care but you were just 'having a laugh'.
Long Covid is no joke.
❤️ Big thanks to our Founding Trustee
@JoD66
for getting to St. Thomas’ Hospital to help highlight dangers of continuing disregard for patient & staff safety in healthcare settings due to the absence of

preventative measures.

I got Covid before lockdown was implemented.
I have
#LongCovid
.
If
@BorisJohnson
had done what he was meant to do - 'safeguarding the life and health of UK citizens' - 10s of 1,000s wouldn't have died or become disabled.
Despicable. Callous. Repulsive. Ignorant. Selfish.
Today we found out that
@BorisJohnson
scrawled 'BOLLOCKS’ across a
@DHSCgovuk
document about
#LongCovid
He admitted in his witness statement that he didn’t believe that
#LongCovid
‘truly existed’
We now know that he thought it should be dismissed as a form of ‘Gulf War Syndrome’
There is a treatment for
#LongCovid
& all long-term health conditions.
Everyone gets the benefits they deserve from the government.
Covid is eradicated through proper mitigations, indoor ventilation systems, masking, awareness.
Oh it's April the 1st. More fool me!
@long_covid
Big shout out to the incredible
#LongCovid
advocates & community. I'm in awe, amazed, proud every single day. Your determination, strength & drive is immense. It's tough to advocate & push for action when we are also ill. We are not on our own. Together we are stronger.

@BBCMorningLive
@xandvt
V confusing and v wrong messaging. One day you talk about Covid being less dangerous (which it isn't) and the next, and on many occasions, you talk about
#LongCovid
and the debilitating longterm symptoms. Covid is still dangerous. It's not guaranteed that you will fully recover.
Not new news to us.
#LongCovid
strips away the ability to do the majority of normal life 'stuff'. The burden of it all is exhausting, demoralising, debilitating, never-ending.
Hugs to all in the Long Covid community.
Thank you to
@RobWust
& team for this

Lower exercise capacity is not surprising news as we've known this as long as we have all been Long Covid aware but none the less good to see validation & more in this study.

Metallica thoughtfully cancelled some concerts this week due to James being ill. The decent thing would be to protect your fans and your crew from any infections, Covid or other. Hope you feel better soon.

So angry with this Downing Street briefing
@sajidjavid
- it is unacceptable to have so many cases, so many deaths and no mention of
#LongCovid
when all are avoidable. 'Do your bit'! We have 'done our bit' but clearly it is not enough. Mandate measures. They work!
Incredibly proud to be part of this

Being a trustee is an honour and privilege.

@guardian
This article makes no sense. No 'traumatic childhood' or 'catastrophic' thinking for me.
#LongCovid
is real - not in our heads, real symptoms, real issues from head to toe. For months and months. For 1,000s of people.
@guardian
looks like you have unjustifiably labelled us.
@iandonald_psych
And let's not forget the 1,000s that will have to deal with
#LongCovid
as a result of this. Plus all those who are immunocompromised and vulnerable having their 'freedom' restricted further.
With the scary, weird and erratic nature of symptoms, 'recoveries' and relapses during my

The best way to express gratitude is give them a decent well deserved payrise and rethink plans for the 19th. They think it's all over has a different meaning at the moment.
No two days are the same with
#LongCovid
. The same goes for many conditions and chronic illnesses.
I change my words to express how I feel daily, if not hourly.
It's exhausting and demoralising.
We must prevent more people joining our every increasing numbers.

It is very difficult to comprehend how this got through ethics approval. Vast numbers of people are dealing with

. There is potential long-term, disabling, life-changing consequences. And the plan to 'control' this study within an immunocompromised patient area?😟

One of my favourite episodes. Michael, you are a true inspiration & you always have a cheeky tinker glint in your eyes. The GP case also fascinated me as my father was a GP in the same era & has the same case tucked away in the loft which he is gifting to me, inc the ear syringe!
So many lives lost. So many bereaved. So many with long term consequences.
@BorisJohnson

didn't listen to the scientific experts & certainlydidn't take action when they should have done.
The outcome would have been different for so many.

Absolutely tragic & unnecessary. I just went in for my mammogram & there was not a mask in sight apart from mine. The radiographer put a mask only because I had one on.
It doesn't take much does it? A mask to avoid picking up airborne viruses. Let's protect each other.
I can't even begin to express the anger of a reckless and thoughtless decision
@BorisJohnson
@sajidjavid
. There are reasonable measures like masks/distancing that can stay in place whilst leading a normal life. For the vulnerable and scared this will drive them into isolation.
@mikepanayi
Rest, rest, rest. Avoid stress. Consider taking electrolytes and a good probiotic. Tell family and friends how you feel. Call your GP about your concerns and push for tests if symptoms persist. This virus moves in mysterious ways and our

community is here to support.
