@SpudSlingsby @bleating_lamb @russbmckenzie @Tom_Clarke 15.4% claim the other day. Said I wanted an independent test on it - dropped to 13.5% - same as testing in the shed at home. If you know you leaving farm moisture always worth fighting your corner 💪💪👊

@mays_farm @ChristineT1401 @DefraGovUK @Ruralpay @NFUtweets @FWAbiKay @KapilaSandy @JanetHughes @silloth53 @ProagriLtd It’s a real shame as most pilot participants including me got involved for right reasons. In defence of DEFRA I suspect politician input is responsible for much of this u turn and uncertainty. 🤦‍♂️. Big looser the environment again 😒

Just watching programme on food. 73% of USA food is ultra processed! Appears to have a massive impact on health of their population. #youarewhatyoueat

Very fair summary of the feeling in rural areas. Real risk to communities, landscape and social impacts across generations. Let’s hope a compromise can be found for all.

"I just don’t understand... if farming is such hard work with very little return, why farmers are so keen to continue farming?" My response... which is also why I believe this #FamilyFarmTax will have an impact on the whole country. New video @FlankFarm

@BenAndo @NaomiLWood @deirdreheenan @RobertB49362750 @vicderbyshire It is an option but 1) Need to live 7yrs - until 3weeks ago advice was to hold control until death. 2) Ag most dangerous industry in the country so effectively a tax on misadventure 3) If everyone gifts and lives 7yrs then no tax will be raised-so why cause the stress for 0 tax?

Completely agree Tom. If we had a level playing field (imports grown using practices and products banned years ago in the UK) - then maybe food prices would allow farmers to make money to pay tax.

Steve Reed said “Farmers will have to do more with less” What the hell does he think we’ve been doing since the 1860’s?

Just read Met police report. 10s of thousands of people in Westminster yesterday. Not one arrested. And not a bit of litter or damage. Doesn’t that say a lot. Well done everyone that took part.

Irony indeed. The rural areas will fight these reforms to BPR and APR for a balanced reform. Never seen some many boots and green on the train.

Morning thoughts: Essential to life: 1) Water 2) Food 3) Shelter/protection from elements. 3 basic requests for governments to provide for its people and all three are a disaster and getting worse and less certain in an uncertain world. Regulation has failed in all 3!
