(Ted ) the hampster survived the fire at 768 1/2 Montreal Street.
Firefighters pulled him out of the home after the fire was fully out.
Firefighters said they were overjoyed that the little guy survived, some of them could be seen petting and holding Ted at times.

emergency services have a job to do and these parties not only make it harder to do that but more dangerous for them and everyone else around

The fire reportedly started in the basement, at least 1 person and a dog were treated by Paramedics.
