Ok, this was taken off duty in a relatively well lit parking lot with my headlights on. Did anyone consult with police before designing and manufacturing the new Ontario licence plates? They’re virtuallly unreadable at night.

I don’t know how often we can say it - stay off the roads! Bayridge Dr between Coverdale to the north and Front to the south is virtually 100% whiteout conditions with multiple vehicles stuck/abandoned. Some of the reasons given for being out are unbelievable!

Many motorists seem to be unaware of the 2nd requirement where an emergency vehicle is approaching (in this case an ambulance). Not only do you pull to the right but you also STOP. Doing so tells us you're 1 less thing we need to be concerned about. $490 fine & 3 demerit points.

Hard to ignore violations even when on Hwy 401 heading to east end for some training. Motorcycle coming up from behind me doing 155 km/hr, then right after a Hummer doing 133 km/hr with obstructed plate. FYI - we have rear-facing radar. Both stopped and charged accordingly.

It’s dependent on the circumstances. If not a priority call, yes, our officers should set the example. However, if an emergency like a domestic or assault in progress, weapons call, severe mental health distress, child endangerment, etc, we can’t always be picky with our parking.

While Zeus’ recovery is the most important thing, here’s hoping he’s back catching the bad guys sooner than later. He & Cst. Jeff Dickson have had a high success rate over the years, including a case of mine where they tracked down a driver who fled from a crashed stolen vehicle.

Sometimes the simple calls can still be rewarding. Complaint that a motorcycle regularly rides up Johnson St the wrong way on the sidewalk near College St each night between 9:00-9:30. Observed right at 9:20 pm. Takes as a shortcut to nearby home. $110 fine & 3 demerit points.

Just saw a driver on Perth Rd pulled completely off the road, stopped on the shoulder, with 4-way flashers on, to use his phone. Good job!

Amazing job by Cst. Dickson & Zeus! Our C Platoon was working last night & initially responded, setting up perimeter & then running with Jeff as backup, assisting with arrests as he plucked them out of the dark bush. Great teamwork by all!
