By far the biggest industrial use of cobalt is in desulpherization of fossil fuels. Has been for decades.
But it only became an issue when batteries became a threat to fossil fuel extractors future profits.

2/ My new $TSLA 6-12 mo PT is $960 (from $1,000). I haven’t changed my 2025 EPS of $29 or 2025 P/E (50x = 2x PEG). I am now using a 10.75% discount rate reflecting 1.15% 10-yr yield and higher exp beta (1.6x). My $960 PT = $29 x 50x = $1,450, disctd at 10.75% for 4 yrs = $960.

These visualizations don’t help. Object size is exaggerated so they are visible on a scale that fits the whole Earth, and it then makes orbit look as crowded as LA traffic. Those objects are generally separated by tens or hundreds of kms.
