Tarantino being so clearly preoccupied with how film history will remember him, instead of just making his damn art, is ironically going to be remembered as a major negative mark upon the legacy he's treating so preciously.

without getting too specific, Eggers' film deliberately avoids such contemporary and over-worn vampiric tropes in favor of a portrayal that's rooted in folklore and the occult. it's much more interesting (and scary) than yet another movie about a creature doomed to loneliness.
Lily-Rose Depp was shockingly good in Nosferatu. That kind of acting is not easy. I did really enjoy it. The film was aesthetically immaculate. But I believe Eggers made a mistake in how he portrayed Nosferatu. To me the essence of any great vampire story is that we must have.

he needs to stop directing himself.
Bradley Cooper shared his concerns about filming the scene featuring Leonard Bernstein conducting the London Symphony Orchestra. He mentioned, "That scene I was so worried about because we did it live. I was recorded live. I had to conduct them. And I spent six years learning

generational talent in cmbyn, but hasn't come close to that level of performance since. not really willing to write him off but i don't think he's at all the fully formed actor he's marketed as.
Timmy Chalamet is such a nothing actor, i don’t think i’ve ever seen him in a role where i believed he was a character—he always presents as a guy doing an impression of the character he’s supposed to play.

@nua_peasant your kid isn't as special as you think he is and, judging by his parents, probably comes across poorly in his writing and interviews. the entitlement is crazy. nobody cares.

@fred_beretta idk, for one I feel like QT himself talks so much about this that "final film" is kind of going to be baked into the way people think and talk about The Critic. also i think people realize Kubrick's scarcity was a product of his method and not his vanity.

i'm trying to think of examples of dumb actors successfully playing smart characters and am coming up a bit short. y'all got anything?.
Aaron Sorkin on Kate Winslet: “There are a couple of things an actor can’t fake. An actor can’t fake being smart, and an actor can’t fake being funny. And Kate is very smart and she’s very funny.”.

@RasberryRazz yeah but also cardiovascular disease has a massive genetic component. having one that young especially would honestly have really little to do with diet, unless they were like 300 pounds overweight or something.
