@got_cake The only people who romanticize the Victorian era are the unschooled. It only takes a reading of Dickens to disillusion anyone. (Also, colonialism singularly saved England from its trajectory of poverty & decline in Victorian times).

@KimDotcom The facts:. 1. Excess mortality is recorded in many countries. 2. All the countries with excess mortality have one thing in common.3. Governments in those countries have refused to investigate this phenomenon. 4. We have a good idea what is going on.

@CheburekiMan Russia's modern strategic war doctrine, forged in the aftermath of Gulf War I, which concentrates on missile technology ahead of expensive fighter jets, stealth aircraft and high tech gimmickry, appears to be right and is paying off.

Banks are spent, their energy is gone. The founders are old, rich and barred by statute from running them from day-to-day. A generational shift is needed. FinTech bros should stop building apps and start plotting how to take over or build banks.
What we need are new banks. New players who are really there to serve and not to exploit. We also need a new and overhauled CBN while we are at it. February 25th 2023 has so much riding on it for Nigeria.

Sign a prenup. Offshore your properties. Stop marrying feminists, modernized women, instagram models and their kind.
This Child Support thing in the US is crazy. You can just be working hard and one woman will use part of the money you pay her to hire lawyers who will help her milk you dry. I saw Tyrese crying after the court proceeding with her ex wife and I was pained on his behalf.

@ayosogunro This is not accurate. Christian missionaries recruited the outcasts of society. Christianity's underpinning philosophy freed many from a permanent underclass position and upturned social order. The late Prof Sugrue expands on this in his lectures (available on YouTube).

The mistake many people make is in assuming their modern marriages are the same as those of their parents. The default setting for your parents' marriage was 'partnership'. The default setting for modern marriages is 'contract'. Proceed accordingly; the streets are unforgiving.
Sometimes, you are just not prepared for the level of insanity you see or hear. This pain the man saw is a lesson enough for men, and maybe women can see how their actions are a lesson for others.

@layorz1 @BurtonPixels @kyalbr There's more to the story. Gallo apparently concealed information on the HIV virus to avoid giving credit to earlier French researchers. The issue became so contentious and politically charged, the US and French presidents had to step in to resolve it.
