This stuff is such a joke
Elon's selective application of forgiveness and understanding is striking. When someone makes explicitly racist statements targeting multiple ethnic groups - as recently as December - you dismiss it as a youthful error deserving of divine forgiveness. Yet when organizations make genuine efforts to create inclusive workplaces and expand opportunities, you broadly condemn these efforts as discriminatory. The double standard is telling. Actual discriminatory statements are minimized as 'errors,' while programs designed to address historical barriers and promote equal opportunity are aggressively labeled as 'racist policies.' The cognitive dissonance is remarkable - how can you simultaneously claim to oppose discrimination while defending recent, explicit prejudice? True leadership means holding consistent principles. If you're going to have meaningful discussions about fairness and opportunity in the workplace, you can't selectively ignore bigotry when it's convenient or comes from preferred sources. A 25-year-old professional in a position of public trust isn't a child making mistakes - they're an adult whose recent actions reflect their current judgment and values. The issue isn't about forgiveness - it's about accountability and standards. What message does it send when Elon dismisses explicit bias as a minor transgression while attacking efforts to create more equitable workplaces? This isn't about cancel culture or second chances - it's about maintaining basic professional standards and consistent principles.
