@peterjwray @PierrePoilievre “Premium” is a nice word for tax. Nowhere in the BNA Act is there mention of giving government the right to enact a forced savings plan. You can argue the merit of the CPP (I agree with the premise), but the “premiums” collected are a tax, dictated by law and collected by force.

So the Conservatives hissy-fit has us in to 130 votes in the House of Commons. 5 votes per hour; 26 hours total. Minus an 8-hour regular sitting day and we have 18 extra hours at $60,000 per hour to run the House = a shade over $1 million. Well done Mr. P ;o)

Then the mortgage rate increases and new stress tests. The Liberals and NDP brought in paperwork, bans, ownership rules, rent controls and bans. The result, rising prices and last month an 8% drop in new housing starts. This shows that the policy has failed. We need new thinking
